Although the weather wasn't at its best as soon as we walked into the apartment we knew we would have a great time . It was luxurious and just what we needed . This was found on the Coquet Cottages web site and was definitely up to their exacting standards . We couldn't fault the apartment and would certainly visit again. We were familiar with the surroundings and place s to visit despite the weather. Wowed recommend the Sunninghill farm shop at Belford for provisions and cafe , and the Saltwater|| cafe opposite Beadnell House for coffees during the day and a lovely meal at night .

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, plenty of room and everything you may need is supplied. A nice gesture was the welcome gifts of chocolates, cake, biscuits and dog treats. The gravel outside makes it hard to push a wheelchair. Having a pub/restaurant next door is very convenient.

We recently a few nights at the Beadnell House. Although the rooms were comfortable enough and the breakfast excellent, we felt the hotel lacked that little "something". We found the staff a bit 'stand-off' -ish and the place rather impersonal.||||I was also not that impressed with "order the previous night" system for breakfast, and, on the same form, being asked to state a time at which we wanted the said meal. 99% of the time I have no idea what I will feel like eating at breakfast the following day. Again, I'm on holiday and want to have breakfast when it suits me. In a small establishment like this, I wouldn't have thought it too much trouble to put the guests needs first.||||I would add that the majority of entries in the "guestbook" were glowing recommendations, but it could be that guests that are less than impressed just don't bother making an entry!

Beadnell house was a hotel in 2006 and converted to apartments in 2009. |We have stayed at Number 5 Beadnell many times and always had a great time, Beadnell is one of Northumberlands secrets, if haven't been go, but don't tell everyone.
