Very safe and tidy marina. Great rates for boat storage. Brilliantly located on the network .. a little out of the way for public road transport but only £10/12 in a cab to Rugby station. Recommended.

I've kept my boat here for a year and have just renewed for a second. Lovely scenic location based around a central island run by genuine and decent people, big bonus is the working area that is available gratis to moorers if you need better access to your boat for the odd maintenance task, or for a very reasonable fee if you want the covered facility to do more involved pieces of work. Lots of wildlife plus bonus alpacas! Honestly can't fault this facility, their pricing is very competitive for the facilities you get and I must give a big shout out to Penny who is a straightforward, knowledgeable and hardworking person who I've very much enjoyed dealing with. Look forward to being here for many years to come

Absolutely horrendous place run by travellers, dead fish floating a dead duck thrown on the bank, the creature that was on site looks like she's not washed in weeks, wonder why it's cheap? Cos it's a hell hole

Love this place. It has everything I want and need.
Electricity, water, rubbish disposal, good car parking facilities and best of all excellent layout and location.
The owners of this marina live on site and there is a barrier in operation 24 hours a day with CCTV. Penny, one of the owners is always around working on the grounds and doing an excellent job. She has always been very helpful to me.
You are left to your own devices, but if you should need help the office is manned usual office hours plus weekends and staff always helpful. Big shout out to Stacey, always cheerful with a smile on her face.

stayed for a week the location was perfect for my needs,found the staff friendly and helpful ,as to the other boaters here very friendly,the location which has been described as noisy i found very peaceful and pleasant, the downside to this marina (which is a great shame) is the total lack of investment and poor facilities available to boaters.

A thoroughly miserable experience. I very rarely write reviews, but have made an exception in this case. I had read the reviews before I took my mooring at Barby, and I had also heard many tales out on the cut. Barby Mooring's poor reputation is well known, amongst boaters, contractors and other marinas. But all I wanted was a place to moor my boat. I thought I could cope with shabby facilities and rude staff. It's actually priced appropriately for what it offers, a lot less than other marinas in the area. I recommend any reader to read all the poor reviews, I encountered most of their problems too. I would add that the owner has a system for the route you must take around the marina. There was logic to this, they want boats to moor facing the bank, to protect it. In my case it meant taking my 70' boat through a chicane (revs down) but upon exit the prevailing wind blows you onto moored boats. Not enough space and time to get the revs up and turn. And let's face it, except for the calmest of Summer days, the wind is up most of the year. Absolutely no acknowledgement from the owner that the marina is just not big enough for 70' boats, but a spat instead about my boating capability. The owner offered to pilot the boat for me, although declined when I took up the offer .... because it was too windy. Ended up mooring alongside the boats in winter storage. Almost every interaction I had with the owner was confrontational. As a leisure boater knowing that your trip will be rounded off with insidious barbed comments becomes very wearisome. In the end the cheap mooring wasn't worth the verbal attrition. I gave notice and moved on.
