Ballylagan Trail Rides is perfect for any horse enthusiast, or those who are thinking about giving riding a try. My daughter and I have had the pleasure of experiencing some amazing moments on the beautiful horses and ponies.
Recently we celebrated my daughters 12th birthday with a beach ride, Chris the owner went above and beyond to make it extra special. My daughters dreams came true as she rode along sandy beaches, and even took a plunge into the sea with her pony Gem. It was an unforgettable day.
She also experienced the 'me and my pony day' in the summer and said it was the best day ever! She got to tack up, groom, bring horses to and from the field spend time with the wonderful team, and obviously lots of riding🐎Chris has a magical way of making the kids feel like the horses are theirs, if only for a little while. Priceless experience for those who don't have their own horse!
Chris is patient and encouraging, she creates an environment that nurtures confidence, fun and a genuine love for horses and riding. The sprawling trails and land at ballylagan make it such a beautiful and lovely place for riding, highly recommend! 🌟💫🐴

Chrissy and Grace are wonderful teachers and offer great support to all who come to learn at Ballylagan Trail Rides. The farm shop is a wonderland of organic produce both fresh from the garden and cupboard staples alike. The guest house looks amazing, although have yet to treat ourselves to a night away. And for those autumnal vibes, Rosie & Gem is a pop up Organic coffee, cake, artisan gifts, local makers and vintage Emporium. Ballylagan Farm really is a wonderful place to visit, I recommend the beach trails and a oat milk hot chocolate to finish 🙂

I was on holiday today on a Ballylangon trail ride, it was great. I had a young horse and I really enjoyed it. Iris was handsome and
listened to my instructions. We jumped or ran through deep puddles and even when I was riding with beginners I was allowed to gallop. It was great. I had fun and my riding level was up again. Thank you to everyone who was there.
I can only recommend it. See ya next holiday, than to the beach...:)

Had a wonderful experience here at Ballylagen Trail Rides, with my horse, Mr. S being a real sweetheart.

The trail itself was lovely, and to hear the history about the location and to learn about the wildlife was very interesting. My guide was so lovely and helpful!

Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area 😊

Visited Ballylagan today after many years out of the saddle, the staff and horses are incredible, stables are spotless horses well presented and staff so well-mannered. Definitely worth a visit the trail was off road around beautiful scenery, our guide was very informative on the way around about the wildlife and surrounding area.
We also popped into the organic farm shop on the way out and took home a few goodies.

10 out of 10 we definitely will be back soon.
A perfect escape from busy day to day life.

Couldn’t recommend Ballylagan Trail rides, Christine & the crew enough. My daughter went from never being on a pony in her life to a happy, confident, competent rider. I even got back in the saddle after 25 years !

One of the top experiences in Northern Ireland and i would recommend booking in. Chris and the crew make you feel so at ease and the craic is ninety, The horses are immaculately turned out and the scenery on the trail is astounding. What a relaxing way to finish our holiday.

Price/time actually riding very disappointing. More time was spent stopping for the owner to take Facebook photos and explain about the trees on the property.
