Myself and partner Paul used Jacks/Balkan Escapes services to go to Croatia last summer. We had a limited time to see the country due to work constraints but many places that we really wanted to visit! We have just returned from our Honeymoon in Croatia having had the most wonderful trip. We have never booked through a true travel agent before, having always chosen to book individual flights and hotels or a 'package' holiday, and we have been thoroughly impressed! From initially enquiry through to receiving our travel documents, all communication was professional and prompt.
When we initially spoke with Jack, we explained our requirements - approximate dates we could travel, the 3 locations (Split, Korcula and Dubrovnik) we wanted to visit and our budget. A whole trip was designed and planned for us, with hotels selected, ferries between the island, flights and airport transfers arranged. Everything went according to plan without a single hitch, the additional suggested useful tips (where to go to check which port side to catch the ferry etc) made our trip even better.
Each hotel we stayed in was fantastic with great locations to visit the area - our hotel in Korcula particular was amazing!
Suggestions for things to see and do each were also very useful, and we did take up some of them (visiting Krka national park with beautiful waterfalls and buying a Dubrovnik pass).
Between trying to coordinate both our time off work and the typical activities before going away, booking this holiday was the least stressful part which allowed us to just thoroughly enjoy and unwind, and is exactly what we wanted. Not having to troll through endless webpages of hotels and flights to try and decide was liberating!
I really could not recommend Balkan Escapes (and Croatia!) enough. Thank you for creating such a fantastic trip and memories we'll never forget!

We wanted a twin centre holiday - five nights in Dubrovnik Old Town in an apartment and five nights on one of the Islands. We've never been to Croatia before so finding a company with lots of experience both travelling in Croatia and arranging holidays in the country was a bonus.
We dealt with Jack - I told him what we were looking for and Jack was superb. He was incredibly patient; I bombarded him with emails and questions and he came back with several different options for us on flights, number of days, locations, etc.
We finally settled on an apartment in Dubrovnik Old City - excellent location near to the old port, and then after 5 nights headed to the beautiful Korcula Island for another 5 nights. Our hotel was absolutely perfect with stunning views and right on top of the beach.
All in all, it was the perfect holiday. In terms of organisation, Jack sent us all of our boarding passes, tickets, and information via post and email before our journey and was on hand during our trip to answer more of my questions. Everything was taken care of by Jack - apartment, transfers, ferry trip to the Island, hotel, flight check-ins.
I would definitely recommend booking through Balkan Escape - I always felt like Jack was genuinely interested in finding us the best holiday which met our needs and his local knowledge was invaluable.

I was travelling alone with my 8 year old twin boys and understandably a little nervous about taking them island hopping in Croatia but wanted to create some new special memories with them. Balkan Escape helped us put together a multi-centre trip to Croatia in May 2016. They were able to meet all of our requirements in terms of budget, destination and departure airport and always acted in a friendly and professional manner.
