Aysgarth Falls is a fantastic place to visit, offering amazing views and plenty of well-marked, safe routes to explore. The trails are well-maintained, with activities and information along the way to keep things interesting.

The car park costs £3.50 for under 2 hours or £5.50 for anything longer, which is reasonable given the facilities. The best time to visit is on a clear day after heavy rain, as the waterfalls are at their most impressive.

The water is freezing, so probably best just to admire from a distance! Sturdy boots are a must, as the trails can get a bit tricky in places, but overall, it’s a great spot for a walk and to take in the scenery.

Decent car park, fairly priced and literally a spit from the waterfalls.

Not too busy when we visited. Provided a nice base to walk and see the falls and then walk up and see the church on the hill.

We also visited the cafe at the top of the hill for some refreshments. (Seperate review)

My boys loved it here, nice to see the raw force of nature. When we visited the ground was frozen, I can imagine the falls area can become very boggy due to the foot fall.

Well guided walks and a good few routes to choose from. With great views of the waterfalls/river. Dog and child friendly. Pay and display machines take card which is very handy. And there is a cafe and toilets too. Just particularly muddy when wet (we went in feb 2025 time)

Beautiful area with lots of relatively easy walks, many of them circular. The Falls are impressive especially after rain.

We braved the snow and walked up from Aysgarth holiday lodges through the fields across the road and then behind the church it was a lovely walk and the view of Aysgarth Falls at the end was just spectacular I would highly recommend visiting

A stunning place, the main falls can be seen a short walk from the car park (£1.70 per hour).
The walk is by the road and the path is flat and fairly even up to some picnic benches.
There are extended walks available to middle and lower falls. Check out the excellent tea room by the bridge at the mill... Fantastic staff and service.
