My husband and I booked a tour for the Isle of Skye with John back in May and had such an amazing time, we booked two more tours with him at the beginning of August to bring our family. Not only is he full of knowledge about the areas we visited, but he has a fantastic sense of humor and a love of adventures! Thank you so much John (and Teri!) for taking such great care of us and for making our trip so fun!!!

If you are contemplating booking a private tour from Inverness, I highly recommend Aye Tours. My fiancé and I hired John to take us to the Isle of Skye and we had an incredible day. John is extremely knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor, and is clearly passionate about what he does. These qualities made for an engaging and fun adventure! Teri made the entire booking process seamless and always responded quickly to our questions. We hope to come back for another tour!

The best tour we've ever been on! John drove my wife and I from distillery to distillery, starting at Tomatin, then to Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, and Macallan. He filled the day with fun stories and interesting facts and anecdotes about the places we were driving through and we had a ton of fun chatting through the journey with him. John's got encyclopedic knowledge about the clans and the history and the distilleries which made the whole tour so much better. Really accommodating, incredibly well managed timeline, just so much fun. Thanks so much for an awesome day!

We recently had the pleasure of taking a day trip to the Isle of Skye from Inverness with John and his fantastic company, and it was an experience we’ll never forget. From the moment we met, John was incredibly friendly, funny, and engaging. His knowledge of the Isle of Skye and its history is unparalleled, making every stop along the journey both educational and entertaining.

John has a remarkable ability to keep the energy high and boredom at bay. His sense of humor and kind demeanor made us feel comfortable and excited for the next adventure.

Not only did John know all the right spots to visit, but he also had insider tips that made our trip feel special and unique. Whether it was the perfect photo opportunity or a hidden gem off the beaten path, John ensured we experienced the best the Isle of Skye has to offer.

John's expertise in Scottish whiskey was a delightful bonus to our trip. At various points throughout the day, he provided us with different varieties to try, making even whiskey novices like us appreciate and enjoy the distinct flavors and nuances. His ability to explain the characteristics and history behind each type added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.

If you're looking for a guide who is knowledgeable, personable, and dedicated to making your trip memorable, John and his company are the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

This was by far the best tour we did in the Scottish Highlands! John picked us up from our accommodations in Inverness and took us on an epic 11-hour tour featuring the Isle of Skye. We stopped at a lot of cool places. My kids LOVED the Fairy Glen and I was in awe of Quirang. Even though we only had one day, John made sure we hit some highlights and delighted us with his stories and local information. I’d highly recommend this tour for families who are short on time but want to see the Isle of Skye.

We had a truly outstanding experience with Aye Tours and would recommend them 100%. I have zero complaints.

Our son has been asked several time what his favorite part of our trip to Scotland was and each time he answers, "John was the best." The small group set-up that Aye Tours provides is, in my opinion, the best way to see things. We had great communication prior to meet up and Aye was able to customize the tours to suit our interests (we did two days with them). John's knowledge of Scottish history and his clear love for his heritage shine through. We saw gorgeous scenery, learned some great history, and had a fantastic time. When we come back to Scotland we will absolutely book with Aye again. Thank you John and Aye for a wonderful two days in the Highlands!

We had a fantastic time with John! Our private tour of Inverness and the surrounding area was a definite highlight, one of the best days we had on our trip. John went out of his way to pick us up at our hotel, and coordinated our entire day around our interests. We learned so much from him about the Highlands and our various stops during the tour, as well as history, pop culture, and recommendations for the rest of our trip. I would recommend any of his tours!
