Took a tour with Avril today and it was by far the best tour we took on our 13 day cruise. Not only did we get to see many of the best sights around Inverness, but it was in the comfort of a small tour van with a small group. Avril is full of local knowledge and just fun to be with. I highly recommend taking a tour with her.

Amazing Tour with a Fantastic Guide

We had a wonderful experience with Avril's Travels!

Our tour guide Lorraine was absolutely fantastic – she shared so many interesting stories with us and was incredibly flexible and spontaneous when it came to accommodating our wishes.

Her passion, knowledge, and warm personality truly made the tour special. We felt well taken care of and enjoyed every moment – and we never had to worry about getting back to the ship on time, everything was perfectly planned.

We can highly recommend Avril's Travels to anyone looking for a unique and personal travel experience.

Sending warm greetings from Austria!

Our private tour with both Avril and Amy was truly amazing. The care and attention both women gave our family was something I’ve never experienced before. Avril’s knowledge of Culloden and the Cairns got us off to an amazing start to our tour of the Highlands. Then we had Amy for 3 days and she was truly incredible. Her depth of knowledge on the history of Scotland that she shared, the ease she drove the minibus through Skye and all of the Highlands, her use of music to enhance our travels, I could go on and on for days on all that she did to enhance our experience. I would recommend both women to anyone and everyone!! Thanks so much for making our family vacation to Scotland one for the ages!

Avril provided us with the most insightful, info packed tour of the beautiful Northern part of the Scottish highlands. The tour is a small group tour and will suit anyone looking to get the most fun packed into a single day. Avril went way beyond the call to ensure she delivered her itinenary and surprised us with a few bonus items as well. We loved the day out and highly recommend Avril's Travels to anyone wanting to learn more about Scotland. Thank you Avril.

Wonderful tour through Inverness and the Scottish Highlands with Avril. She was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating.
We visited the battlefield of Culloden and the museum where the Jacobites lost the battle of 1746, We saw lots and lots of sheep,
touched the Outlander stones at Cava Cairns, Balbusran of Clava, and St. Andrew’s Cathedral
Stopped on the banks of Loch Ness, ate Haggis for lunch, whiskey and gin tasting at the Clansman Hotel. Stopped at Wardlaw Road Wardlaw Mausoleum in and visited Jamie Fraser’s ancestral burial ground.

Discovered that Eric is part Scottish when we stopped at Robertson’s (his mother’s family name) Farm Shop in Beauly, Scotland to visit the wooly cows. Thank you Avril for a great day!

We had a wonderful tour with our guide Lorraine. Our small group was nearly alone at all sites as we simply did the tour in the exactly other order as the big tour buses. Great idea. Lorraine's stories about the country, people and history were great entertainment and extremely informative. Absolutely recommendable!
