Had a problem with my rear view mirror on a Ford Cmax and got in contact with them via the messenger on the website had a reply from Alan in a matter of minutes. He was upfront and said it was more of a windscreen companies job but they were willing to have a look if we wanted them too. I told Alan that was what we thought and had tried windscreen companies but they would not look at it as screen was not broken and Alan recommended an independent windscreen chap who we contacted and he fixed it same day. I applaud the customer services and feels more personal touch I would definitely use them in future. Thanks again Alan.

I wasn’t going to leave review but after an attempt to make a booking with them which was refused, it’s better to inform others. I booked my Mercedes gle for a service & to sort a ad blu warning light which had a countdown to limp mode. They advised they can do the service & can look into the issue with the ad blu warning light. They did offer contact information for a 3rd party to disable the ad blu system in the car which cost over £300. I booked that in as I thought it was a huge problem. I decided to get a second opinion at another garage and they fixed the warning light for £50. It was a blown fuse. Now the issue is on the service report from Avco, they claimed to change other fuses in the car that was blown. I asked them what fuse they changed and they didn’t know. I asked for a refund for the fuse & the diagnostic cost and they became quite rude. After a few back and forth I got the refund. They didn’t fix or diagnose the problem so it’s only right I do not pay them for the diagnostic and the cost of the fuses. They aren’t completely useless hence the 2 stars. They simply lack accountability. I forgave them for their shenanigans as it’s a new year and tried to use them again to change a battery (which is basic) and they refused the booking. No accountability for not checking the ad blu fuse which could have cost me a lot more than £50 if i listened to them & would have saved £50 & my time to take the vehicle elsewhere if they did check the vehicle correctly . In my opinion, they should be apologetic & embarrassed that they couldn’t spot a faulty fuse in the ad blu system instead of offering a 3rd party ad blu removal which is somewhat illegal even though it is not checked on the mot.

I have now added another car to our fleet of vehicles, a lovely Polo. The guys at Avco have serviced and checked the car over. It has just returned from the MOT. I am surprised at N. Okonyia review and having read their previous experiences at other garages it would appear they have been unluck with their vehicle, however their review of AVCO motors is far from the experiences I have received. I can not fault their work. I wish you all the best for 2025.

Hi took my car to have a repair to door locks and widow unfortunately the parts that were needed were probably worth more than the car and they very politely phoned me to ask me if I wanted to go ahead obviously I said no but only charged me a nominal fee to which I was pleasantly surprised but very happy and will definitely be returning for future mechanical needs.

I can’t give the garage enough praise. Damaged my car last night and was convinced I’d need a new alloy wheel, took it into Avco this morning and they are so honest and friendly. Alloy only slightly damaged so they’ve managed to repair it and new tire ordered. That’s what I call 1st class customer service.

I've been bringing my car here for almost an year and I am always very pleased with their service. They are a leading example of how customer service is done!
Clear and prompt communication, extreme politeness from both reception and mechanics, fair prices, transparency and great attention to detail (their invoices are the best I've ever seen, with a break down of every little aspect of the job done, labour cost explained by the hour, advisory comments). Avco motors hi-vis key ring and document folder are also a plus!

My car broke down a short distance away with dead battery. Avco Motors loaned me their battery pack which I used and returned. Huge help. Very friendly. Thank you for helping me in a spot of bother
