Went camping with my young daughter for a few days. It was her first time and she loved it. The place is very nice, the pitches are spacious generally but quite rocky.

The toilet blocks are kept tidy and in good condition and are comfortable, although a small shower partition to keep clothes and towels dry in the cubicles would be a plus. Be careful with hot water, it will burn you though! There is toilet paper and a hair blower.

I wasn't sure the tap at my pitch was drinking water so I went to one that was labelled.

The swimming pool is nice and warm with a few toys and a toddler area. I assume the park outgrew the swimming pool as it seems small for the size of the park, still does the job thanks to the sessions in place.

The soft play by the shore is big and nice, my 6y old loved it.

If you forget your lead to plug to the pitch pole, the reception sells some for £25 in cash. And I got a refund in the end...

Overall satisfied with my stay here, we'll be back

Liked: Clean park. Spotless facilities. Bar staff in the sports bar were lovely esp Steven who was amazing with all the dogs! Drinks were reasonably priced and the entertainment was great for the kids. The shop had everything you might have forgot and a good selection of wines and beers also opened late. The restaurant and arcades staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. It’s was great to be able to take the dog inside to sit and have your dinner ! Food was tasty. The view outside was spectacular. Overall an amazing break away. If only the rain/wind would have stayed off ! Beach fantastic!

Disliked: Our location was a little bit tricky to get the caravan in because of the trees in-front of the space (Purple22). Would just ask for a more open space next time that’s all. Also Wi-Fi isn’t free 🙁

Liked: Plenty of activities for our children, aged 11,8,1. Staff really friendly and helpful. Pitches really good size and can have multiple tents on and a paddling pool too.

Disliked: Showers and toilets could do with being cleaned more regularly due the size of the park and with it being peak season too.

What an amazing camping holiday, first time we’ve been to Scotland and boy did it make a good first impression! We were lucky with weather! Auchenlarie Holiday Park is stunning. The facilities are SPOTLESS. Never in my camping life have I seen such a clean & tidy toilet/shower/washing up area. Absolutely brilliant. The pitches were decent size and with water & electric hook-up. Nothing was too far away. The Premier shop on-site was suitable and had most things you need for a few days away. The takeaway & restaurant down at The Complex are good! Dogs are allowed pretty much everywhere in the park apart from a few places (understandably). Honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer than 3 nights, it’s one to remember! We spent most of the few days we were there on the beach with the kids and dogs, but there is so much to do and explore! There’s a little surprise for the kids with all the little rabbit visitors at nighttime too!

Liked: Everything! The site was beautiful and very well maintained. Facilities were all very clean and spacious, playgrounds were fab for the kids, the little beaches were just stunning! And the evening entertainment/sports bar was great too - honestly loved this place and so glad we booked it - hubby is trying to convince me to buy a static here!!

Disliked: The fact that we had to leave!

We are just back from staying in a bronze caravan in the green zone at Auchelnarie. The caravan was lovely and clean with all you needed to self cater for a few days away. Dinner at the restaurant was good although the service was a bit slow. The entertainment in the lounge was pretty cheesy but ok, the sports bar was good and we enjoyed the karaoke. There isn't that much to do for adults however we enjoyed just walking the dogs and relaxing. Will definitely return.

We’ve been camping many times as a family. We live in the lake district and also have family in Devon so it’s mostly in these areas. We’ve decided to try this site and sadly won’t return. The state of the pitch for camping is absolutely shocking. Even with a very good quality ground sheet, the sharp stones coming through was a nightmare. The site absolutely prioritises caravans. The road the runs by the campsite is incredibly noisy with lots of lorry’s, so be prepared for that. The bins near the toilet block were overflowing which meant seagulls were going absolutely wild all night and early hours of the morning. There was also a large group which was spread out across an area. They had lots of children between them. They were making so much noise after midnight. Adults were very intoxicated. I’ve never been at a site of this size with the amount of facilities that doesn’t have security walk round from 11pm and tell people to be quiet. The children were absolutely wild and coming into other campers areas and going into strangers tents. Maybe we just got unlucky with the weekend we chose to be situated near this group.|We booked the swimming pool which is absolutely disgrace and run down. The ladders were loose, tiles were loose, there was rusting and mould. Did not meet any health and safety or hygiene standards. Would not return or recommend. |We left early and checked into another site on the way home.

Liked: Everything. Customer service was absolutely amazing. Pitch for tent was clean and well labeled. Car parked very close by for easy access. Very close to the beach. Extremely clean toilet block with great shower facilities and a seperate washing up sink.

Swimming pool was good and not overcrowded. Child entertainers were engaging and my eldest loved going. Evening entertainment was also good.

Restaurant was busy but good.

We travelled with a 1 year old and found having the laundrette on site very useful and easy to use.
