Waited an hour and a half for three separate buses at Hemel Hempstead station today and in the end had to uber. One bus did actually show up at 12:51 but then said they couldn’t take passengers and would be back in five minutes - they had still not returned 25 minutes later when I decided to get a taxi instead

Got told off by the bus driver, she said she stopped wasn't because I was running for the bus, she stopped only was because someone was getting off the bus. You call those bus drivers with this attitude professional?

302 Hemal Hampstead bus today and all this week delayed. It was scheduled on 17.29 and it was cancelled. Then 17:55 was cancelled too then I have to wait till 18:39.
This evening was really cold and freezing this is Un expectable as public service. Can one cancellation but it was two scheduled buses cancelled.All the public passengers had to wait an hour or more

Today, unfortunately I had a flat tyre on my bike, travelling to st albans I had no other chances other than a bus to save me, waited at the bus stop at 17:30 the bus came and it wasn't full or anyone taking up the front seats, but refused to take me on even a few stops or if required I could get off, completely heartless. He seemed not even sorry, kept repeating "not allowed" with maybe enjoyment he gets to do this. The 302 is constantly late and never a comment from passangers, but yet when in need they did this. Arriva at fault for recruiting and training these robot drivers.

EDIT: Yes I have already made a formal complaint, yes I know the terms and conditions and it's not like I was asking for bikes to be accepted, I was obviously stranded. Your response is just poor to understanding the issue. When you're in need someone throws the t&c's at you and you'll know. Even if a couple of stops just before the town centre could have helped.

I have to give a big thank you for these guys. My daughter missed her phone on arriva bus 322, I made the official complain.
Since no reply I visited the arriva bus depot in Hemel, I got phone back 👍

They are the most badly run, unreliable bus company ever. The buses are almost always late or don't turn up and are often diverted for no good reason. Some of the drivers are rude and surly and don't stop when you press the bell to get off.

Rather unreliable services. Some tickets way over priced. Always use the reasoning of all their buses are broken when asked why they offer such unreliable services.
Seem to be more focused on the money than the customer service.
Some drivers seem rude or overly irritable which makes the services seem more uninviting.
About the only decent aspect is the newer, modern and comfortable buses.
Only ever used the buses as a necessity to go from A to B and nothing else due to such poor all round service.
Travel office open slightly annoying hours and they don't often have a clue about how bad the reliability and therefore reputation of the company is.
Company is clueless as to what proper customer service is.

The frequency of the service is low, tickets are pricey and the drivers often do not arrive/leave at the scheduled times. If they arrive early at a bus stop they do not wait for their scheduled departure to leave.
The apps are good, albeit the real time tracking of buses often does not work when intended.
