A beautiful and peaceful place for a quiet and gentle walk, flat. Plenty of butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, small fish, water birds. Closest/best place to park is Arlesey railway station car park. £3.30 for the whole day (off peak). Do not use post code advertised for SatNav/directions. You will be taken to the industrial units on the wrong side of the railway line (with no parking anyway).

If you want to spend a day watching nature than this is the place, you will see many varieties of birds, butterflies, insects and plants come along and enjoy.

Lovely quiet spot to wander and meditate or just relax. For bird activity, between March and June is best, as you will see and hear a great variety of song birds, as they arrive from their winter break. Plenty of butterflies and other invertebrates to keep the kids occupied.

Well hidden nature reserve following the River Purwell. Park in Arlesey West Side Station. Great for butterflies and Damselflies. Note the old bridge on the right as you enter. Also do not forget to follow path the other side of the main road, go under the main flyover.

It's ok as I have been getting plastic, glass, bike wheel, deodorant, polystyrene, shoes, football, out of the river, would be a nice place if ADULTS as well as kids took bottles home with them, you cant always blame the kids, last year,I spotted holiday makers taking drink to sit in sun by the weir, guess what they left bag full of bottles in the nettles, there are four dog walkers who also pick up your left rubbish. It's about time you listened to david attenborough.

Lovely walks through fields. Lost a star because although you walk next to the river it's so overgrown you can't even see it
