Some great technical lanes, great accommodation, fun group and a super restaurant for all 16 of us at night.
Russ is great getting some of us bigger vehicles through very tight spots. Definitely book again.

We’ve just finished doing the coast to coast trip with Russ from Robin Hood’s Bay to Bootle. What a week! We had such a blast every day. Russ is such a good guide and A+ sense of humour. We’ve already booked to go to Morocco next year.

Having a blast at Christmas

Christmas blast, Christmas blast, so good they named it twice. Or in this case ran it twice.

We had a fabulous couple of days in the Lakes. Despite torrential rain and swollen rivers, Russ put together a brilliant first day. The lanes were very wet, very slippery and nicely challenging. The route fitted together perfectly despite the weather playing havoc with the original plan. The Yorkshireman really pulled it out of the bag.

All the group met for tapas on the evening of day one. The wine flowed, the stories were embellished, and sombreros were worn.

On day two, Russ had some technical lanes for us that tested the vehicle and the driver. From shale to chicanes, from tight gates to tricky bridges, they all made you think about getting the right approach angle. Russ was on hand to help of course.

We had great driving, great tuition, and great company. Looking forward to doing it all again next Christmas.

Thanks so much Russ! We attended the two day Lake District New Year trip and had a great time. It was my first time out in my new Hilux, and Russ was great at giving recommendations, being patient with us, but at no point being condescending. Fantastic lanes, good local knowledge, and a fabulous and social evening meal together. Definitely recommended. Cheers!

Second outing with Russ, this time three days in North Wales. Excellent adventure despite the biblical rain, with Russ providing the usual entertaining and informative commentary as well as advice and guidance on hazards within the variety of lanes we travelled. Great bunch of fellow travellers too providing a thoroughly enjoyable the trip.

A great weekend was had by all on a two day trek in Wales over the Snowdonia National Park. Russ is a great lead driver with lots of experience and he is able to help newbies as well as experienced off-road drivers. Russ has a great sense of humour and his banter makes any trip he leads great fun. We are looking forward to our next trip with Ardventures soon!

We recently had a fabulous tour of Morocco with Russ. It was an unusual trip, we were the only other vehicle as it was a special occasion - an 18th Birthday celebration for our son.

Russ tailored the trip to include a mix of things we wanted to do as a family. From sand dune driving to surfing the Atlantic, from mud huts to Michelin standard food, and from a Bond crater to Barbary apes, we saw and did it all.

We had some full-on days, and yet still had time to wax lyrical over dinner about how amazing the day was, and how tired we were!

Russ knows his stuff about Morocco and managed to fend off the millions of questions we had about villages, wildlife, and the cost of toll roads.

Whether you're an experienced 'off-roader' or 4x4 newbie, Russ will make sure you push the boundaries of your driving skills and capability of your vehicle, while keeping everyone safe and making sure you have a brilliant tale to tell when you get home.
