The Perfect Getaway,

Just returned home from a short break at April Cottage in Flamborough. Lovely Cottage in a great location, with nice walks on the doorstep. Good pubs & supermarket a short distance away.
Bus stop to Bridlington five minutes walk away.

Will definitely return in the summer.

We have just enjoyed a week’s stay at April Cottage. Flamborough is a fabulous little village and April Cottage is the perfect place to explore it from. It is within walking distance of the local pubs, fish & chip shops and the Co-op, and also from the coastal path via Danes Dyke. We went on holiday with our dog and enjoyed lots of walks
down to Danes Dyke and along the coastal path to South Landing and Flamborough Head. I love running and had a couple of really lovely runs out from the cottage.
The cottage itself was lovely and clean on arrival, and has really comfy beds (so important!). We took two teens and they were delighted to have a double bed each! All in all, a wonderful holiday in a lovely cottage in a fabulous location. I honestly couldn’t fault it!

This is the ideal base for exploring the coast and countryside of East/North Yorkshire.
April Cottage is a delightful, modern and spacious holiday cottage, surrounded by beautiful walks and very close to the amenities in Flamborough village.
The cottage is clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated and has excellent private parking.
The perfect place for that well deserved and much needed break.

Had a lovely weekend to celebrate a family birthday. The cottage was great, spotlessly clean with plenty of space for 6, it is 5 minutes walk from the centre of the village with pubs and shops. There are some lovely walks from the cottage onto the coastline. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

The Cottage is very modern and in a great location (only a few minutes into the centre of Flamborough and all the amenities).

There is plenty to do around and about with stunning cliff walks from Flamborough head, the beach at Dane's Dyke, Sewerby Hall, Gardens and Zoo and the bird watching at Bempton cliffs (which is only around 30 minutes away by car).

My only con to the glorious week is the small amount of cutlery and crockery at the cottage, if the cottage was fully occupied you would have to use the dishwasher after every meal.

Overall a great property and great location as a base, would highly recommend.

A Christmas escape - with a Christmas tree put up too. A lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and spacious. This was the perfect, longed for time spent with close family and it didn't fail to hit all the correct buttons. Set in a beautiful location close to the glorious coastline. With shops, restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

Would you recommend this property to other travellers? Yes

We stayed here for a week with our dog, Beautiful house, was clean, spacious and had everything we needed, lots of extras like cleaning products and everything you needed in the kitchen, 3 spacious bedrooms the main having lovely views of the horses opposite. Big smart tv where we could access Netflix, Prime etc. We found the location perfect as only a short walk to the village where there was 3 pubs serving food, two of which we could take our dog in to eat and local shop, a short walk to the most beautiful beach Danes dyke, other beaches and dog walks in the area would highly recommend this cottage, if we’re coming back would stay here again and will recommend to our friends.
Tips for other travellers
Danes dyke is only a 20 minute walk away absolutely beautiful, we also walked along the cliffs to Bridlington stunning views. Also we walked to Flamborough head again absolutely beautiful views. Humanly gap has a lovely dog friendly beach where you can walk to Filey.
The Seabirds restaurant had the most amazing food but is very popular so you need to book in advance. We really had a lovely time in Flamborough and surrounding area.

Most of us go on holiday with the aim of resting and have quality time with friends and family. However we found budget mattresses very firm and uncomfortable and combined with Polyester duvet made for uncomfortable nights. House is a few meters from the road. Vehicles passing about every 15 min during the night
Kept window shut because of air Pollution.

Cold white Led light bulbs throughout. Sofa comfortable for most but less so if tall.
Two small grey cushions in the lounge. Thin old cotton towels. No soap for washing hands, a simple bar would be fine.

Good points.
TV worked OK, standard resolution. WiFi speed test 37mbps down load and ping 21ms.
Off road parking. Coop shop nearby. Large rooms and house clean.
