This was an amazing place to stay. If you are looking for an authentic "room above a country pub" experience. This is the place. It does have old pub quirks, the floors arent very level, and the access upstairs is challenging. But the charm of the beams and windows is undeniable. The apartment was beautifully decorated, and if you're into art, this places hums with it. We loved our time here. And its location means its easy to explore Gloustershire and South Wales.

We stayed in the 1 bed apartment, it had everything you need and was great to have the kitchen facilities. Lovely great big shower and everything nice and clean.

I slept on the sofa bed and it was extremely uncomfortable, it’s one of those clic clac sofa beds so the surface isn’t designed for sleeping, you feel all the firm shapes of the sofa design and a big channel down the centre. I basically didn’t sleep so I advise everyone to book an apartment with enough actual beds for your party. But otherwise a great apartment.

We had a great stay at The Old Fleece. The apartment is spacious with everything you require and fairly priced for 2 bedrooms.
The living area was a great space for relaxing in the evening as we put our 2 year old to sleep in the bedroom.

The pub downstairs served us great food and we could even take pints back up to our room to watch the football.

Huge loft apartment nicely decorated and good facilities to use. As it’s a 200+ year old building the stairs are steep so probably not right for someone with unsure footing.

Great spot, just above a nice pub with very friendly and helpful staff on hand.

Apartment was spotless and well stocked for an overnight.
Road was a little noisy, but the property was convenient and has an EV charger 🙂
