Nothing but good things to say about this firm. Was quoted a price for a pick up 1 hour away from our destination. When we reached it, the machine said price was £7 more than had been quoted, but the driver honoured his quote. He was 20 mins early to pick us up, and had texted earlier in day to confirm he would be there. As we were at a wedding in the middle of nowhere, it was very reassuring to know that he was on his way. The minibus was impeccable and so all in all, everything was excellent. Thank you!

We rang for a taxi in 10 minutes and were told they would send someone out. 20 minutes later we call to ask how long it will be and we are told they will call us back. 10 minutes later still no call so we decide to go with another company. We call to cancel the taxi and as soon as I start speaking I was told the driver was calling and he began a conversation with the driver despite me trying to protest (because I wasn't interested, we wanted to cancel). After a 2 or 3 minute conversation he came back to tell us there had been a misunderstanding and that he'd be a couple of minutes. Not good enough - the rude service and poor time keeping mean we would rather wait another 15 minutes for a different company. We will not be using Al's Taxis for the remainder of our break in Matlock.

if I could give less than 1 star I would! Had the audacity to call me back after trying earlier to book a taxi in the local area and he turned around and said no even though I was willing to pay above theodds! # useless
