Last week I was waiting in a drop off and pick up lay-by (for reference the sign on the wall stated you can park for a minimum of 15 minutes for pick up and drop off, I was there for around 7 minutes looking back on my dash cam, well within my legal right to be there as well) This lay-by was NOT a designated bus stop, bus lane, or taxi rink. I was waiting to pick a family member up when a bus pulled in behind me, flashing their lights and using their horn to make me move (again, the bus did not have priority), respectfully I had moved up to the last bit of the lane when the bus driver started walking towards my car. This male bus driver had then started bashing on my window with his closed fist three times, nearly smashing the window! I had partly put my window down and the bus driver had stated I had to move for him to get his bus out when he needs to leave (obviously can’t drive the bus if he requires that much room, especially when there was room for him to reverse as well). I had stated for him that there was no need for his actions nor the bashing on my window, he responded “well I didn’t break it did I?”, how rude. And then walked off. The female staff he was with, was setting a great example for the company while waiting for the passengers to get off. Standing there in uniform and in full view of the passengers chugging on her vape.
I had proceeded to park on the opposite side of the road in a private property area which has no legal status to the main road, where the bus driver proceeded to move off out the lay-by, getting extremely close to the back end of my car, waiting for me to move AGAIN (for reference again, I was parked off road in a private property area where the bus would have no legal right to make anyone move or to expect anyone to give them the space, I wasn’t parked in a bus lane or a bus stop) he continued to use his horn and wave hands at me through the front windows. I didn’t move as I was not legally bounded to, and due to the rudeness I had received, I wasn’t going to move.
The bus driver finally found the R letter on his gear shift to put the bus in reverse to which he was then able to move past me (I think the driver finally learnt how to drive at this point). Other drivers behind the bus were getting frustrated and using their horns towards him as he was by then blocking the lay-by and the road, no allowing any other cars to get past.
The male bus driver and the female worker got past me perfectly fine but I looked out the window to see the female worker throwing hands up as if I was in the wrong (which I was not as again, no legal reason for the bus driver to claim the road).
Due to it being the bank holiday weekend and my work commitments, I had phoned the company today to raise my complaint and concern regarding the incident and to inform their manager how rude their bus drivers were to myself. I was speaking to a women on the phone who stated she was the manager, I tried to explain the situation but I kept getting cut off mid sentence by her. When I had stated she was cutting me off she had hung the phone up on me, as if I wasn’t angry or frustrated enough. I proceeded to phone back and asked for her manager, where she then proceeded to tell me she was the manager and the owner of the company (god help the customers and staff!) I explained the way she was speaking to me and hanging up on me wasn’t professional and stated that I have dash cam evidence of the events and she proceeded to state that she was also going to look on the dash cam footage on the bus. Stated she would deal with the situation if she could see any fault that the bus driver had. The customer experience with her is beyond poor, and I would be ashamed if I spoke to a customer with her attitude being manager (that’s even if she is manger).
From the bus driver experience and then me trying to phone to inform the company of his actions, to having this rude women speak to me, I would stay clear of this company. They don’t have many reviews on here and I now wonder why this could be…

Alisons is THE best coach company in Cambridge area. I organise coach events regularly for school events, and amongst the very good coach companies operating around Cambridge, Alisons is the best in my experience.
Their coaches are great quality and well presented, their service reliable and flexible when required. Their prices are very competitive. They are always my first port of call when making a coach booking. Well recommended.

I've had the pleasure of working with Cambridge tours. Alison, who was managing the day to day affairs has an impeccable team of drivers as well. What struck me most, was their customer service, which was top notch. Round the clock Alison and her team were there to clarify any doubts I would have.

As for the coaches, extremely well maintained, clean and spacious coaches. We were particularly fond of their coach driver, Mr. Langley, who was very friendly and took the time out to explain about places on the way, making the bus ride a pleasure.

They are very cost friendly too, so I would recommend giving these guys a shot any day.

We have just returned from a trip to Paris with Cambridge Tours. I just wanted to say a big thank you to our driver Daniel for taking such good care of us. He was so professional and helpful throughout our whole visit and we will definitely be using this coach company again. The coach itself was also very comfortable for the long drive. What a jewel of a company!
Returning from a great short tour of Germany I must congratulate Cambridge Tours on the quality of their coaches and the brilliance of their drivers. Our main driver was also an excellent raconteur which helped the journey to appear shorter which is no mean achievement. If I were teaching now and organising visits and tours I would book them "just like that"!

Very poor experience. Did not reply to emails until prompted, and when asked to meet other companies’ quotes were rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend.
