I used to do my own boards on the basis that Board Erectors never did a good enough job. boards would blow away or worse still, land on cars etc.

Bad experience
I wrote on the when signing the contract with the estate agent to put the post as close to the fence as possible
They put the board up whilst I was out,.so I couldn't talk to them. The attached it to my metal fence post. When the post was taken down I can now see the post has dented my fence and left grey paint all over it

Once I complained they say I didn't say anything whilst it was on, but, I couldn't see behind the wooden post?
They say they are not liable for the damage, they not even prepared to take a look.
Poor service, poor response.

Maybe at least call or text before arriving so the property owner can be at home

As far as I'm concerned you've damaged my property. You can throw legal things at me but it's just common decency to at least come and look.
