Africa Odyssey was great to work with. Sam listened to what we wanted, and didn't want, and arranged a fantastic experience for us. Sam tweaked our original request to maximize our chances of viewing the great wildebeest migration. We just returned from two weeks in Kenya and Tanzania and bring home wonderful memories (and too many pictures!) of animals, the people, and also the camps we stayed at. I have already recommended Sam and Africa Odyssey to 2 friends planning an African adventure. Lastly Sam recommended the hot air balloon ride in the Serengeti. It's a little spendy but a real highlight for us. We are so glad we did it!

My wife and I were planning on going to Tanzania for our honeymoon, wanting to do a combination of Zanzibar and Serengeti national Park. We didn’t have any precedent trip to refer to as we were the first of our family and friends to embark on this type of journey. I spoke to a few travel agents and felt that some agencies were trying to put me onto their specific agenda. On the contrary, Dave was very receptive to planning the type of trip that my wife and I desired and asked us many questions so that he could fully understand how he could cater a trip for us in particular, especially by answering questions we had as well. He has been to Tanzania many times, and it was very evident that his recommendations were coming from personal experience as well as what he saw was most fit for us based on our description. He was very easy to contact, very easy to work with, and his recommendations turned out fantastic. All the logistics that were planned domestically over there were very smooth and it really helped my wife and I have a worry-free, seamless honeymoon. Can’t recommend Dave enough - he knows what he’s doing and he doesn’t plan the same trip for everyone - he plans based on YOUR desires and preferences.

They were not honest about what they offer ( pressing us to book very in advance, even though the Safaris were almost empty). They are very good collecting but not been responsible after that.
They went for easiest and most expensive options, only considering one company for the safari experience.
If you book a safari let them know you want to mix companies to get better experiences.
If you have to make a change on your itinerary or add something, better do it your self, they would not help you the right way.

Better not to trust them and take time, consult different travel agencies for better options before taking the next step.
Not because you saw greats animals during your safari or nice rooms wont make Africa Odyssey a good travel agency.

Dave had helped us create a perfect trip to Africa a few years ago, so we didn't hesitate to contact Asia Odyssey when we wanted to visit Sri Lanka. They did not disappoint. A big thank you to the team at Africa Odyssey for organising our amazing African adventure. We travelled as a group of 7 initially to Tanzania (1 person just staying for the first camp), with the rest staying in 4 locations, 2 then headed off for a beach break on Zanzibar, 4 headed to Botswana for more safaris and finally one of us then going onto Victoria Falls before heading home. So lots of moving parts and arrangements to be booked which was no problem to the Africa Odyssey team. Saw plenty of amazing wildlife, took heaps of photos, as well as enjoyed many memorable encounters along the way.

We recently returned from a 9 day Tanzania holiday, one of the best trips we have been on. I found Africa Odyssey through there website. It is one of the best, well organized, easy to navigate, lots of good information. Working closely with there agent we worked out a custom made itinerary fitting our time frame and interests. Had a wonderful time at the camps they recommended and saw many animals and birds. Witnessed the wildebeest crossing the Mara River, an amazing site. If you have interest in going to Tanzania or the Serengeti these are the people to deal with. Very knowledgeable, great recommendations, customized itinerary. You can not go wrong.
