I found Adventureline 25 years ago and have enjoyed seven walking holidays with Martin: Three in England, three in Italy, and one in France. I’ve booked with a companion, with my daughter, and as a single traveler. Most recently, my daughter and I experienced the Isles of Scilly.
A walking trip is my favorite way to travel. A good bit of exercise, a slower view of the landscape, an opportunity to stroll through a village or explore a site, and sharing with a congenial small group. Adventureline offers all of that and Martin’s enthusiasm is infectious.
I’ve booked my next tour already: Cappadocia in Turkey.

Adventureline’s planning and expert guiding moved us through thousands of steps and 1,200 miles of Iceland’s unforgettable landscape as we experienced Iceland’s rural life along the way. Adventureline unwrapped Mother Nature’s gentleness and powerful forces allowing me to feel Mother Nature’s unbridled freedom. To return to continue the Iceland journey will be a pleasure; it was a fantastic adventure.

In july I enjoyed a very special walking week in a wonderful magical region:DARTMOOR.
Although everbody waited for warm dry summer weather we had a great time in good company. Martin and peter showed us very nice walks and every evening we drove to a new place for dinner, some of them really very cosy and quirky.
I‘m glad i joined the party with my friend dominique.

We had a wonderful holiday on the Isles of Scilly with Adventureline. It was very relaxing, everything was taken care of for us. Martin knows the islands so well, he was able to take us to the best places. It was wonderful to explore at a pace which gave time to stop and stare, and enjoy the wildlife.

Martin did a wonderful job organizing and leading our walking tour of the Amalfi coast. All transportation and lodging, plus all of our delicious meals, were pre-arranged and paid for (kind of like how it is for our kids when WE host THEM on a trip). Many of the hikes were physically challenging, as is to be expected given the rocky terrain of this area. But each one led to spectacular views. The trip also included some casual walks and people who needed a break from hiking had the option to relax. Plus, each day's exertions were rewarded with a wonderful dinner or tasting experience. Martin's cheerful disposition helped set a positive, accepting tone within the entire group. He was attentive to each member's needs and made sure special dietary requests were always accommodated. A memorable, stress-free blend of outdoor hiking and gourmet dining. ​

Adventureline holiday to Iceland is spectacular. Comprehensive information is sent beforehand outlining the itinerary, packing list and joining instructions. We were a group of ten with a wonderful driver and excellent guides. Luca is very knowledgeable an excellent cook and always goes above and beyond Having the majority of meals included is very good as Iceland is expensive. The itinerary is very carefully crafted ; each day was full of an incredible variety of different experiences. Sometimes longish distances were covered with frequent stops/visits . Having such a skilled driver and travelling in a very spacious bus makes this very manageable. There is a wide range of accommodation used which is always comfortable. If you wish to really see Iceland, have fantastic walks and truly unforgettable experiences this is the trip to go on.

A LIVELY MIX OF NATURAL BEAUTY & HISTORIC SIGHTSEEING. Due to a strong recommendation from a friend who'd traveled twice with Adventureline, I recently had the great pleasure of a tour in Lazio/Tuscany. Ours was a very amiable small group from four countries. Martin, the tour leader and owner, was joined by his Italian guide Luca, and we had the benefit of their shared knowledge of the area's geography, culture, and history with a particular focus on the Etruscan era. I soon appreciated why several others on the tour had been on numerous treks with Adventureline in various parts of the world.

My husband and I just returned from Cornwall where we hiked with Martin and three others for 5 days. The scenery, the history, the geology and the local cultures were all shared with us by Martin. The walks were varied and all beautiful. The food was excellent and staying with Martin at his house was a real treat. We have hiked with Martin twice before in Tuscany and Morocco. Each trip was wonderful and off the beaten path. We met interesting people on each trip and are still in touch with some of them.
Hiking with Martin is more than a vacation. It is truly a life experience that can't be replaced. Thanks Martin!
