I had such an amazing time on my first trip with Adventure Solos last Friday! I'd been wanting to try a hike and a wild swim for so long and this was the perfect way to get into it, in a group with other like-minded people. Chris is so welcoming and friendly and really puts you at ease, even if you're feeling nervous about meeting a bunch of strangers for the first time, or have never hiked before! I highly recommend Adventure Solos if you're interested in trying out some new outdoor activities and making new friends, you won't regret it!

I booked the Windermere weekend with a mixture of anxiety and excitement. I had never done anything like this but felt a strong desire to get out of my comfort zone, try new experiences and meet new friends.
From the moment I arrived I felt welcome and comfortable. Some people had done trips with Adventure Solos before and others were brand new just like me but Chris made us all welcome.
The days were structured but incredibly relaxed. There was never any pressure to keep to a schedule or hurry through anything. The instructors and other participants all lovingly encouraged me to push myself to climb higher than I thought I could.
By the end of the weekend I had discovered I loved paddle boarding, was fitter than I thought,
braver than I remembered and had a renewed sense of confidence. I felt like I was discovering the real me again. I was exhausted but energised and just purely happy.
I can't wait to for the next adventure.

Really amazing camping experience where I learned a lot - how to wild camp with the least impact on the land so others can enjoy the space, how to navigate (there’s a lot more to reading off-road maps than you think!), how to cook, and how to push through the challenging times and be rewarded with epic views and sunsets!

I've just spent the past week on one of Adventure Solos canoe expeditions. New friends, adventure, beautiful scenery. It was fantastic!!

I can't recommend them more highly and in fact have already booked my next adventure.

This is my first hiking / camping trip with Chris. Previously, I attended an adventure weekend at Windermere. The Wild Camping trip I had last weekend was such a wonderful escape. I received lots of really good gear on arrival, and Chris had loads of really good tips for packing and carrying the weights. Even with the weight, the hikes were not too strenuous but long enough to make it worthwhile for experienced hikers. The pitch sites next to lakes were beautiful, and the group was full of really friendly people. If you are looking for wild camping trip but new to camping I could not recommend Chris more. Very experienced and patient guide.

What a fabulous weekend in Windermere! I met some lovely people and had great fun. This is my second adventure with Adventure Solos - I have also done the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge which I also really enjoyed.

Chris is so helpful and has taken time out to recommend kit for me on another adventure I've signed up for which I've really appreciated. I've made some great friends and I'm looking forward to meeting up with them on more adventures.

Did the beginners wild camping event, first time wild camping on my own and loved it. On arrival met a very friendly group and we all got to know each other very quickly. Our knowledgeable guide introduced us to all the equipment and gave some handy tips how to pack effectively. I was quite surprised everything could fit in my rucksack in the end!

Day 1 started with a walk up to our first pitch. Walk was paced such that all abilities were able to keep up and feel included. Great banter along the way as we got to know each other. Set up camp and walked to the top of a nearby fell to watch the sunset - absolutely beautiful.

Day 2 started with a morning walk to our next camp and there was good chat among the group. Exchanged stories and really felt at home with everyone. Our guide gave us loads of information about the surrounding scenery and showed us the basics of map reading. After setting up our second camp there was the option to chill out or take a further walk around the local fells. Some of the group chose to relax but I took the option of the walk, which was fab. Again the guide was extremely friendly and told us loads about the area.

Day 3 after packing up was a downhill return to the meeting point followed by a well-deserved pint and a bite to eat before saying our goodbyes.

I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and will definitely be returning for another trip with Adventure Solos in the near future!
