We had a brilliant brewery tour. Our tour guide Bev was very knowledgeable and told us so much about the brewery and it's history. We did the tour of the brewery then did some beer tasting at the end. After that we went to the Adnams shop to collect our free gift. I definitely recommend this tour.

Arrived too late to book any tours. Lady at reception was remarkably polite and helpful. I sure will be going back in the summer time. Tours are at a reasonable price. You will have to wear high Vis tabard.

Really interesting brewery given how it is situated in various buildings within a beautiful old village. Great guide and lovely beer to finish. Recommended!

Superb afternoon gin making with the brilliant Kate as our guide - knowledgeable, approachable and keen to ensure we had the best experience possible. Learnt all about the gin distillation process before being let loose on the botanicals. While our mixes were being prepared in the stills, Kate gave us a tasting of three of Adnams’ speciality gins, explaining the flavours and best mixers to pair with. A unique day out, highly recommended.

A spur of the moment booking as part of our trip to Southwold, it was £25pp and we booked online via the Adnams website.

We often visit the shop further down the road and had always been interested in actually seeing the brewery.

Our tour guide was Pauline who was very energetic and provided a good amount of information in an interesting way and the tour was structured in a sensible order.

History - Brewing - Fermentation - Tasting

During our visit we got to taste some of the grain, smell the different types of hops, see how small the actual brewing area was and then the samples at the end were very generous!

We will certainly look at doing the distillery tour in the future as this tour was great value for money.

We also received a voucher at the end which could be exchanged in the shop for a can/bottle of drink and 10% off a £20+ spend.

We visited the Adnams Visitor centre for a trip around the distillery. The trip takes you to see the stills, which were operational. There were four stills in the building. An explanation of the distillery method, and a history of distilling at the site was given by the guide. The head distiller was collared to give an explanation of one of the stills.

Back down the stairs, we then where shown the oak casks where the whisky was stored.

The main part of the tour was the tasting. Here we tasted three Vodkas, and the Gins which were made from the Vodkas. Each gin, (and there were many more than three) were tasted neat and with tonic. Finally we tasted their whiskies.

Afterwards we went to spend our discount voucher at the shop.

Very much enjoyed the brewery tour. The museum is a bit minimal but our guide made the most of it. The brewery itself is up-to-date and prides itself on energy efficiency, consistency of product and active development of new product under the leadership of the relatively new head brewer. An opportunity to taste the range was much appreciated.
