Great museum all about the oldest canal in the UK. Located at its high point at Shark Lake. Maintained by nice volunteers. Thanks for the coffee, Charlie! Clean toilets.

Beautiful spot with such lovely people providing tea and coffee

Handy stop off along the Newry canal towpath. It's almost the halfway point along the 20 mile trail. It has toilet facilities and a picnic table. There's good views of Acton lake and the birdlife from here. The visitor centre is closed during covid restrictions, but the toilets are still accessible.
