We were incredibly fortunate to have Enzo as our tour guide and driver during our trip to Italy in December 2024. When my son had a ski accident that made it difficult for us to continue with our self-drive plans, not only did Enzo step in under very short notice, he did so with care, professionalism and genuine kindness. He ensured we stayed on track with our itinerary and also made us feel supported and at ease during a challenging time. Enzo’s vehicle is specially equipped for wheelchair-bound clients, which made all the difference in ensuring comfort and accessibility throughout our journey. His local knowledge on the sights and food, safe driving, great humour and warm personality made the experience both seamless and enjoyable. We’re deeply grateful for his help and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable, reliable and compassionate guide for accessible holidays in Italy.

We met Vincenzo at the Rome airport and embarked on a trip of a lifetime!!! My daughter is wheelchair bound. Before our trip, I spoke to Vincenzo many times to plan our days. He took care of everything from securing guides and getting us to each location. He is so knowledgable and caring. Even helped me track down a part for my daughter’s handicapped travel bed!!! This trip would have been impossible without him. His travel van is perfect for a full family, luggage, and a wheelchair. His hospitality was exceptional and I feel we have a new family member. Highly recommend his services.

Our family of four traveled with Enzo for our 18 day trip to Rome, Florence, and Sorrento last month and we could not have been more pleased with his services! After a bad experience with and an astronomical quote from a US based travel agent, we reached out to Enzo to help plan our trip to Italy with my father’s mobility impairment in mind. He got right to work with us with several video calls, ironing out details on a daily basis and constantly emailing back and forth with us to ensure we could fit everything we wanted to on the itinerary. Once we arrived, I had encountered a medical issue that required a visit to the ER, and he came into the medical facility and translated with me to ensure I got the best care possible! And that was just day one. When we encountered a problem with the motorized scooter we had rented for my Dad’s use, he helped us navigate getting a replacement and communicated with the company we were using on our behalf. He brought us to the best spots to eat for pit stops in each region— we are still dreaming of the gelato place in Rome — and he gave us excellent recommendations for our excursions both on his days on and his days off. Our journey from Rome to Florence included some incredible stops in the Tuscan region and it was a day we consider a standout from the trip. He started the day whenever we asked, and was patient when we needed those “extra 5 minutes” getting out the door. He escorted us through the Vatican Museum and saved us from getting ripped off for a $800+ “Wheelchair accessible tour” in the process. For our day trip to Venice, he went above and beyond and worked over-time to get us home after a very long day of waiting around for our return from the islands. I could tell story after story about our time with him and all he did for us. There is not enough to say about Enzo and his commitment to meeting his clients’ needs and making Italy accessible for everyone— he is second to none! We miss him dearly and would love to travel with him again! Grazie mille Enzo!

Having booked the "Accessible Italian Holiday" taxi service from Fumicino to the centre of Rome online, I was keeping my fingers crossed that it would provide the type of transport I needed as a full time wheelchair user. Any apprehensions I had were immediately dispelled when I was greeted at arrivals by Vincenzo, the owner who was warm, friendly and welcoming while being consummately professional and efficient. He arrived promptly for my return to Fumicino and I will definitely use this wonderful five star service again!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful trip because of Accessible Italian Holidays. Here is what my husband had to say about our experience:

My daughter and her husband wanted to arrange a dream Italian vacation with my wife and I to see the sites and explore our Italian roots. We talked about taking this trip for years. We contacted several travel agencies, explaining that I can’t walk or stand for more than about 5 minutes. We wanted help to rent a wheelchair and advice on the best ways to include me in the trip without limiting the rest of our family. Everyone we talked to said “in Italy EVERYONE walks!” We were about ready to give up when we found Accessible Italian Vacations. Enzo worked with us to arrange the itinerary we wanted and accessible ways to see everything. Our guide had a handicapped van and an Electric scooter selected for me, a good-sized man. We got to Venice by boat with the scooter and scootered through the ruins at Herculean. I went everywhere, alongside my family, through the streets of Amelia, Murano, Burano, Sorrento, Bari and more.

Enzo provided superior customer service throughout our entire trip as he anticipated the needs of the whole family as well as of someone in a chair. He provided additional much needed language translation for us when we wanted to meet up with our Italian cousins, as well. Accessible Italian Vacations is much more than renting a scooter and a driver! It is more than someone to plan your itinerary and book your hotels. We were able to be flexible and rest when we needed and alter plans due to weather. Thanks to Accessible Italian Holiday we had our dream Italian vacation!

My mother and I recently traveled to Italy and needed a way to navigate the sites in Assisi see the Umbria region. My mother is 88 years old, and we needed someone who could help with access to sites due to her mobility issues as well as to understand and accommodate her pace and energy level. We hired Enzo to help us, and our experience far exceeded any of our hopes and expectations. My mother and I can’t say enough positive things about Enzo, his company, and his services. We had a great time!

We enjoyed two full days of exploring some of the hidden gems of Umbria; it’s small towns, vibrant farmland, hills, and mountains. We traveled 12,000 ft above sea level and saw some of the most beautiful landscape we have ever seen! Enzo shared a lot of interesting facts about Umbria. Due to Enzo’s vast knowledge and passion for Italy and travel, we were able to see some things that most people don’t even know exist. We were able to see paintings by famous Italian artists hidden away off the beaten tourist path in churches of small towns, enjoyed delicious local foods as well as to learned about the histories of these lovely towns and their people. We feel that we got a true feel for Umbria.

We also enjoyed Enzo’s company. He is easy to be with and demonstrates great care in what he does and towards the people he serves. He is good-humored, sensitive, and interested in others. I appreciate that he can enable people to travel who otherwise would not be able to do so. My mother and I consider it a special gift that we intersected with Enzo and had the opportunity to travel with him.

We highly recommend Enzo and his company!

Vincenzo is superb in every way. He is extremely thorough, conscientious and honest as well as warm, caring and generous. He thought through every detail and worked hard to give us the best possible experience. Sadly, I contracted Covid one week into our three-week tour and was quarantined for 18 days in a Covid hotel. My husband and Vincenzo stayed nearby. Vincenzo succeeded in finding accessible rooms for my husband on short notice, which was not easy, and they had to move three times. He stayed in constant touch with me and the health officials, and brought me care packages every other day. He stayed with us 3 days after his contract was over, at no charge, and only left when he had another client. He is extraordinary!!

This summer, my mother and I spent three amazing weeks touring around different parts of Italy. We are both truly appreciative of the guidance, service, and camaraderie that Enzo provided for us while we were in Rome and Tuscany.
When my mother arrived in Rome, she had a wheelchair that was not equipped for the bumpy, uneven streets. Thankfully, Enzo arranged a scooter rental for us and my mother was able to thoroughly enjoy the rest of our stay. He was also knowledgeable of the many museums and historical sights and able to guide us through entrance protocols and give helpful accessibility tips.
While in Tuscany, our tour included Montalcino, Pienza, San Gimignano,
and many other places off the beaten path. Our Itinerary was very flexible and Enzo always gave us insightful suggestions. My mother is big on gelato and we always found the best pit stops! We had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend Accessible Italian Holiday!
