Excellent service from start to finish. Was staying at the fairburn hotel in Mauchline and going to a wedding at Sorn castle. Norrie was a treat to deal with and is a credit to his company. Was on time for pick up and our return back to our hotel. Don’t hesitate and give them a try as you won’t regret it. Thanks again Norrie….

Shocking! We booked to be collected at 18.00 and to be returned home at 21.00. I spoke in length about directions to my home - agreed to pay £51.70 each way between Sorn and Ayr - he had my number to call. I called constantly between 18.05 and 18.25 and when I finally got through to him on his phone 30 minutes after he was supposed to collect us (on our friend's phone and not mine), he said he waited 20 minutes outside our house. Wherever he was, it was not our house, and he made no attempt to phone me whatsoever - he didn't try to contact me - just left us waiting. When I did speak to him, he told me the exact opposite of the directions I had given him - I told him first on the right - he said he went first on the left. He spoke of Mr Godwins house, but I had
never heard of Mr Godwins House so just assumed he knew something I didn't. We could not see any vehiclec from our front door - there was no lights or horn noise. We received no message from you whatsoever regarding our booking. Why would you sit for 20 minutes outside a house and not call the booking number? I would never call him again, and we lost £20 on our booking as well as letting our friends down. 😡

I think you may be telling lies here, as I can see on other reviews calling out your shoddy service. We tried multiple times to call you to no answer, and if you don’t believe in voicemail then I don’t believe it is our fault you didn’t get our cancellation.

Your auto text service line however, which was a last resort, does have a voicemail option. Further to that, you didn’t ask or explain any upfront payment which we could have sorted - you took a huff, said you won’t be picking us up and that was that.

Your reply is equally as huffy, and absolutely I will be telling anyone to avoid your service at all costs. Own up to your mistakes and don’t attack customers for your mishandling.

Oh, and maybe invest in a voicemail so customers can actually get in touch with you.

Absolutely shocking service from this company. We had a taxi booked with them for a few weeks however our plans changed and we wanted to cancel half the booking.

After -multiple- phone calls, we could not get through to either of the lines listed and even text and left a voice message on the booking confirmation line we were trying so hard to get through.

How are you meant to cancel a taxi if you literally can’t contact the company?

Anyway let’s move to the day of the booking when we got a call saying our taxi was at the hotel to pick us up. Well, we were half way to our venue by then and sorry but we really tried to contact you - however this is the crux of why I wish I could give zero stars on here:

We told them what happened and that we tried to cancel and apologised if it didn’t go through but asked if they could still pick us up at the venue later that evening, to which, the driver replied “no, I won’t be doing that then”.

I’m sorry, but take some onus on the fact we could not contact your company, and to add insult to injury you were happy to leave us stranded

Avoid this company at all costs and use alternative means as they are rude and unreliable.

Absolutely disappointed with this company! We booked a few weeks in advance to be taken a few miles from Cumnock to Lochside & back again! We had to “try” cancel first booking from Cumnock.. the reason I say “try” was because for 2 days we tried to get in touch with company & no answer even with phone message saying press 1 or 2 to talk to someone!!! Not our fault!!! Then we left voicemail & message on the phone number they sent booking ref on & they never responded!! So what more could we do So doing this we weren’t there for initial pick up, guy calls in a strop & says well I’ll not be coming back for you on your pick up later on in the night!!! Well thanks for that! Lucky for us we managed to get lift back!!! So would NEVER recommend this unreliable company!!!!

Cannot thank Norrie enough for the service over the weekend for my son's wedding. 1st class service and laying on extra transport was no issue. I have no issues using him again if the needed.

Originally quoted me £60, but then said he was happy to price match a competitor for £45. However, the next day said he wouldn't do it for less than £80 because that's what a different firm was charging!

Follow up due to owner reply -

Let me tell everyone the full facts, as you see to be altering them somewhat!

First of all, you have admitted originally quoting me £60, and you have admitted that you told me you would price match my £45 quote, but then the very next day you increased it to £80, because, in my opinion, you are clearly very greedy.

The reason the £45 price was brought up in the first place was because when you told me £60, I said I would think about it, and you immediately said "Is that higher than you were thinking?" (Which shows perhaps you knew it was expensive when you quoted me?) I told you that yes, I thought £60 for an 11 mile journey was quite expensive, and I had another firm who were £45. You then said you were more than happy to match that price, as you offer a price guarantee. You then said you needed to confirm the next day with your wife that the car would be available as she uses it for her work, but that the £45 was not a problem at all.

So to now change your prices just because a couple of other firms are also expensive doesn't mean you can go making libelous statements saying I am a liar. I have FULL PROOF including all emails, of the £45 price, and I even booked them, and paid for it, so I also have bank records. However, I had to cancel them as I needed to change the time, but they were booked for my new time, so I got a full refund)

So, not sure how you got them to tell you they quoted me £80 when I had been quoted, and booked and paid for them, at £45?

I have now booked another executive car for the same 11 mile journey for £60, which is still £20 less than your inflated price of £80. (Again, I have bank records showing this price, so don't say I am lying again, and that no-one will do it for less than £80) This has nothing to do with me being a 'cheep skate' (which is spelled cheapskate incidentally) I just do not like being ripped off by greedy businesses, especially ones who say one thing then something totally different the next day. By you not even honouring your original quote of £60 shows your true character, let alone not honouring your 'price match promise' of £45!

Used this taxi firm to take my family including my 82-year-old mother from Auchinleck train station to Dumfries House and back again. Had booked both journeys in advance to meet with the trains. Both times the driver was there ahead of time, waiting politely and patiently. He then drove very carefully to our destination taking great and giving us some friendly local knowledge on the way. I did worry a bit when he said he'd go the 'scenic route' but on arrival he charged us less than the agreed price. We'd come down from Glasgow for this trip and needed it to go smoothly because of my mum - and it did. Couldn't rate this company any higher and would definitely use them again. Thank you.

Absolute joke!Booked my taxi a week before boxing day,didn't ask for a deposit I would have been happy to pay for if theyd asked.Went to check my taxi was coming on boxing day night to find it had been cancelled with no reason,left stranded and will be sleeping on a friend's couch for the night,along with my son.Not my first bad experience with this company won't be using again!!!
