A lovely day out to Pickering and Thornton-Le-Dale on 29/4/24. Excellent driver, as always, Marcus. An excellent time had by all. Have been on many trips with my brothers over the years and they never disappoint.

Great tour operator. They run five coaches on day trips or holidays away in UK and Europe for up to about twelve days. Brochures are online - have a look!

On the 24th November I went on a a&p trip to longleat, the driver was very good nice polite and friendly but the trip was advertised as seeing the animals at longleat on the Saturday followed by see the Christmas lights at longleat which I was really looking forward to doing both however we did the safari but then left longleat before the lights came on . This was very disappointing so much so I emailed a&p telling them how disappointed I was and thought it best I emailed them instead of leaving a bad review but after waiting a week and still heard nothing from a&p and watching the lights on TV I got more disappointed.
Myself and a friend I went with and I'm sure others that was on the trip feel we paid for something we never got and the whole point of us going was for longleat needless to say I don't think I will go with a&p again if they cannot keep to the itinerary or even a simple email of explanation of why or a apology.

DISABLED BEWARE:
My Experience with A&P Travel:
1) Booked holiday for myself and my parents all three of us are diabled and have mobility issues.
2) Told the person on the phone when booking the holiday that we were disabled and needed ground floor rooms and walk in showers as we could not go upstairs. (We failed to mention that we hall have walking aids, but she did not ask if we have any aids on the phone.)
3) Seats although comfortable, it was hard going on us travelling that far with our disabilities, however at each stop the driver did take our walkers out and have them raedy for us to use.
4) Breakfast was @ 07:30 and Dinner was booked for 19:00 each day and we could not choose if we wanted to go a little later or earlier, The lady in the resturant threw us out on the first day because we arrived for dinner at 18:45 and she was quite rude.
5) First Day trip was to Glamis Castle, and when we got there and went for the tour was told sorry but there are alot of stairs so you will not be able to do this, but you can watch a video of the tour.
6) Found that this was unacceptable and called A&P Travel ( Took an age to get through as nearly always engaged.) The lady who answered did not really answer my questions but did check the other trips for us and said that Holyrood House would also be a problem due to stairs. I said that a train journey had also been cancelled and had been replace by an additional 2 hours on a coach which being disabled made this hard as more time sitting unable to move made things worse.
7) Day 2 we went on a cruise which was great and was told before the cruise that we would have 90 minutes after the cruise to get food. The cruise finished late and as we were disbaled we could not get off the boat untoil last as no one else wanted to wait for us so they all rushed to get infront of us. We got off the boat and made our way to the toilet this took a little while as there was a que for the loos. I decided to join a queue for food for each of us to take back and have on the coach. I was told that there was no way that I would be able to get a sandwich in time so we had to board the bus. I sadi the the driver that I was starving and needed food and he just said no you dont and walked off. He seemed to just be desperate to get to the next part of the day, which was a coach tour of Edinburgh. You would have thought that bcause we were not going to be able to eat until 19:00 that night that the driver would have made a quick stop somewhere were we could have got a sandwhich, but this did not happen.
? Arrived back at hotel and had to wait until 19:00 for food and we were all starving by then.
9) The last day was Holyrood house and we new we could not do that because of the stairs and also because how bad we felt from the previous day that we decided not to go out on the last day.
10) Travcelling back, it had rained the day before and the roof of the coach was leaking and the driver made a flippant remark when people on the coach complained that water was pooring in through the roof, was very hard and it has taken 7 days to get over the holiday.
11) I contacted the tour oprators and gave them a chance to put this right and they said that it was our fault for not telling them that we were disbaled and it states on Page 94 of the brouchure that if you have any special needs then you should let them know. We did this over the phone and must admit we did not read the entire brochure cover to cover as we saw the holiday and called to book it. We did tell the person on the phone that we were disbakled although she did not ask us if we had any special needs.
12) A&P Travel have explained there findings and found that it is our own faault and as such will not be compensating us for what turned out to be the worst holiday I have ever been on.

A lovely mystery trip ending in Torquay. Lovely hotel. Afternoon tea on arrival. Four course evening meal. Great choice for breakfast.
