The lady was really canny and helpful when we were choosing which boat ticket was best for us!

It was a lovely area and we found our way to get on the boat easily.

Beautiful views all around the place!

There was a couple gift shops and cafes / toilets around too which was handy whilst waiting for our time slot for the boat

Absolutely fantastic! Very helpful staff at the ticket booth (you also buy car parking tickets here)
Wonderful staff on ALL boats! Very informative and helpful, would advise bringing a coat as it's windy on the lakes, and try not to eat before getting aboard! Can be a little jarring for motion sickness, had a wonderful day regardless with our freedom of the lakes ticket, well worth it!

This place is beautiful and seems to be the quieter of the Piers on the lake. We purchased the combined sealife ticket and return journey to Bowness. The pier was lovely and had beautiful views. The boat itself was great and we all had a great time.

The views you get on this gorgeous, beautiful, magnificent lake are to die for. You can take a cruise from one end in lakeside all the way up to Ambleside and back and take in great views and gorgeous scenery. Highly recommended to do this cruise it is a highlight in all of the lake District and something you will never forget

Came here on a quiet rainy Wednesday in search of a relaxing train ride. It's reasonably priced at £11 return for an adult, I didn't opt for the boat journey at Lakeside as I didn't have time, instead I popped into the pub at the hotel and went for a walk. There isn't an awful lot to do at Lakeside except the boat and aquarium and I couldn't seem to find any lakeside walks.

The tea room at Haverthwaite is cute - I felt like I was in Brief Encounter!

I do wish on quieter days there was a specific family carriage as there was lots of loud and screaming children scattered throughout the train, however I understand that this is a family attraction for all.

Overall, it's a nice little excursion out, it would be nice if buses were more frequent at the Lakeside end, just in case you miss the last train!
