My first time hiking the 3 Surrey Peaks and I was feeling very anxious! Pete reassured me beforehand of the support on hand and how encouraging the group are.. he wasn’t wrong! I thoroughly enjoyed the hike through the Surrey hills… great views.. great day! I look forward to the next one.

I have signed up for Surrey 3 Peaks walk with DG Outdoor Adventures so I can train for my own challenge which I had to do in July 2024 and I was meant to do the 3 Surrey Peaks at end of August but Pete helped me out and rescheduled if for an earlier day in July 2024 as he had availability. I did managed to find a nice group or people although I am not a very chatty person. Pete and his team were amazing and I had a very nice day despite the weather. I cannot recommend DG Outdoor Adventures more! Easy to meet, easy to walk and a best day outdoors in a very nice company. Do not think that if you go on your own you cannot find a companion to talked to. Enjoy it to the full! I hardly wait to book Morocco next year (2025) with DG - If he will do it again! Another walks on my bucket list with them soon!!! Check ‘em out! A+++ D!d!

On the 3rd August 2024 i did my first hike with DG Outdoors - 3 peaks Surrey Challenge done - 18miles with a great group of people and Pete as our lead guide. The two other guides were excellent too. This was my bucket list great adventure with like minded people. The history knowledge en-route and route finding Pete departs is excellent. Highly reccomend any of their hikes in and around the UK. Thanks for a great day out all - Sean Disney, Guildford

I started walking with Pete from 0 miles to 20+ miles my first walk was around 5 miles. I have also done Surrey 3 peaks this year. Also seven sisters and South Downs Way.
He has all kinds of walks from your first walk to more Challenging ones.
He encourages you and has people on walks to fall back or he will come back and make sure your ok.
Every walk I have been on has had a great bunch of people or all different abilities.
The stronger walkers will all will you on.
At the end of the walk we sometimes go for a drink together before making our way home .
Finally if your are looking for a starter walk
The Mole Valley is one of my favourites
Start Leatherhead Station finish Dorking Station around 5 miles or just a bit over if we go into Denbies.

I’ve done a fair few of Pete’s walks now and I’ve loved them all. The most recent was the Surrey Three Peaks - 18 miles conquering Box Hill, Leith Hill and Holmbury Hill and it was a great day.

The great thing about Pete’s walks is that he is full of knowledge, they are well planned and they’re not a route march. No-one gets left behind. It’s not about how fast you complete them but about whether everyone is walking at a comfortable pace (although a certain level of fitness is needed, certainly for the longer/tougher hikes). More importantly, it’s always a great bunch of people and we all genuinely have a great day. All you need to do is turn up to the start point with your food/snacks, water and suitable footwear/clothing! If you’re thinking about giving one of Pete’s hikes a go - do it!

I have done three walks/hikes with Pete now. I can't recommend doing them enough. Not only is there a fantastic sense of achievement, but you also meet others, discover new places and the worry about trying something new out the area is eradicated as Pete carefully plans each stage. It is also excellent for your mental and physical health. I am excited for the next trip in September. I have met some lovely people and gained lifetime memories.

I took part in 3 Surrey Peak hike. It pushed me but the encouragement from Pete and Sue was brilliant! Views from Surrey Hills were amazing as we it was a warm mostly sunny day. It was a wonderful experience. I will look out for future events to take part.

I love going on Pete’s walks. It’s a joy to be able to empty your mind and just enjoy a beautiful hike, knowing that you’re being led by an experienced and knowledgeable trail leader. The walks are always well thought out with interesting stopping points along the way, and a positive friendly atmosphere that makes solo walkers feel welcome. Highly recommend!
