Travel Butlers organised our holiday to South Africa and they were excellent. Paul asked great questions and came up with a good selection of options. I had looked into booking the holiday myself direct but then wanted more confidence in the bookings and Travel Butlers organised everything and within my budget. It was a brilliant holiday. Lovely hotels, all transfers worked seamlessly and we had great excursions. We were a group of 4 (husband, me and two older teens] and we all had wonderful time. I’ve already recommended the holiday and the company to a number of people and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I could not recommend Paul or the team at Travel Butlers enough. The amount of help, advice and guidance given for each trip itinerary is exquisite, and I have never known organisation like it! We were probably his most difficult customers of 2023, if not the decade (not that he would ever say so) and we were still made to feel as if nothing was too much trouble.

Paul painstakingly curated no less than 6 variations of our South African holiday, until we reached the perfect balance. We also had to change passenger details shortly before the trip, which was done without fuss, and the final email containing everything in one place was invaluable. He was kind and honest where other agents had flat out refused to provide a quote, and his firsthand experience of the sites we visited were invaluable. Everything was seamless, the guides on the transfers went out of their way to ensure we saw plenty of wildlife, even just to and from the airport and lodge. Our meet and greet at OR Tambo was also exceptional, and we couldn’t have asked for kinder people to help us with our journey.

Overall we took 6 internal flights, stayed in 3 different places with 2 hire cards and covered from Knysna to Kruger. Nothing was lost, and nothing went wrong!

Just our two nights at Sabi Sands was enough for us to spot 7 leopards (including a cub!) Countless elephants, rhino, hippo, lions, hyenas, monkeys, zebra, giraffe and so many types of antelope. We went with modest expectations that we might not see much, and how wrong we were. The staff, drivers and spotters at Elephant Plains were fantastic, the small site creates a special atmosphere that makes you feel part of their wonderful family, and whilst we saw everything in our two nights, we didn’t want to leave.

Our lodge at Forever Resort, Blyde Canyon had a magnificent view, and it was really well located to see the rest of the stops on the Panorama Route. I don’t know how many times we said “thank you Paul” on the trip, but it was at least 3/4 times a day. Even the hire cars were perfect to secure all our luggage whilst pit stopping viewpoints!

If you are thinking of booking a holiday of a lifetime for you then you will not be disappointed if you contact Travel Butlers, by far and away the best travel agent I have ever used, and wouldn’t book through anyone else if (when) we return to Africa!

Once again, thank you Paul for truly organising such a wonderful time, with memories that will last forever.

Wow, what an amazing trip. Tracey organised our honeymoon for us and it was everything we could have wished for, and so much more. Her knowledge of the area was great and she was able to advise the best time of year, the places to visit and sort out all the internal transfers and flights.
We could definitely not have done the planning ourselves as every part of the trip was so seamless.
Tracey picked out some amazing game lodges for us and also seemed to tell the animals to be on the look out for us as we saw so much. April / early May was a great time to see so many animals and birds in various parts of Africa.

We have just come back from the most incredible holiday that we can’t stop talking & looking at our pictures & videos.
It was our life’s dream to do a safari & with the help of Tracey from Travel Butlers, she helped to make our dream come true.

All of the accommodation had a different side to it & each had something different to offer.
We saw almost every animal we had imagined seeing, however we had no idea we wouldn’t get to see rhinos - but when we found out why, we were just happy that they were safe & being protected.

We gave Tracey a list of what we wanted with our expectations & so on & she came back with the perfect itinerary… from memory I don’t think we changed a thing!

She organised 5 different accommodations from Zimbabwe to Namibia & then the Okavango Delta; this included all 9 flights of which 1 was an amazing helicopter tour over the delta, all the transfers & even some extra excursions which we enquired about much later after the initial booking.
One thing we really like was that she was never pushy or rushed you… that’s pretty rare in my experience as I have experienced that when enquiring with many other travel companies.

Over the 18 months from booking to going, we emailed asking LOTS of questions - but she never complained & even if she didn’t know the answer or was unavailable, she never took very long to find out & reply.

We cannot recommend Travel Butlers highly enough & we are so thankful we found them!!

We first used Travel Butlers 4 years ago in planning our first trip to South Africa. It was AMAZING. We knew right then and there when we got married, it was going to be in South Africa and we were going to use Travel Butlers. We planned the wedding for over two years using Tracy's help. There were 17 of us in the group and she was able to keep everything organized. She also worked with the lodge where the ceremony was to organize the wedding day. It was the most magical day of my life and am so thankful we had Tracy and Travel Butlers to assist us in our journey. We will always recommend Travel Butlers and Tracey to anyone we know going to Southern Africa. We will also be using them on any future endeavors there! We cannot wait to go back!!
