We took a small group Jack the Ripper tour with Richard Friday June 7th. It was compelling and thought provoking. Richard was entertaining and very detailed on the events surrounding the legendary time in London. I highly recommend taking this tour!

A very pleasant and thorough walk!
Richard is knowledgeable, funny and attentive to the group.
The duration and rhythm were also balanced.

Richard’s tour was awesome! Small group of 6. Provided headphones so he could be clearly heard at all times even when walking. So knowledgeable and 100% interesting. Not just the same old story but new ideas to challenge our thinking. Highly recommend!

Thoroughly engrossing journey into one of the grimmest chapters of London history. The small group size and audio support is great. Richard (our guide) was wonderful , he creates a real sense of life in victorian London and has an vast amount of knowledge on the topic.

Richard’s tour was the highlight of our visit - more than a simple retelling of the murders of that era, Richard brought in the wider context in a way that gave all of us a more complete idea of London and of what it was like to be a person of limited means at that time. The tour seemed to fly by, and we have been talking about some of what we have learned ever since. Highly, highly recommended!

Richard is extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter, which is presented is a very intelligent manner. It is a longer tour, but well worth the time. The small group ensures that you do not miss any of the stories. Starts and ends at an underground location, which is very convenient. Highly recomend.

I've taken a lot of Jack the Ripper tours but none of them were as informative as this one. Richard goes to great lengths to set the scene and gives you much more historical information than any other tours combined. He doesn't only focus on the murders.

The starting point for him is the historical background of the 1880's era and he will make you understand what life was like, rather than "they were drunk prostitutes".

Yes, this tour is more expensive than other, but you get so much more (and better!) information. He's an amazing story teller and you can tell he genuinely likes what he's doing and is very knowledgeable in doing so
