Drove down from London to spend a beautiful sunny afternoon here. Surprisingly quiet along the circular walk I chose (4.5miles) and the Discovery Centre had a welcome coffee and cake on my way back. Lovely place and gorgeous surroundings.

I took my Dad, who is disabled and rides a mobility scooter. He could easily get into the centre. We had a coffee while watching the birds across the marches.
The main paths were ideal for his scooter.
I photographed some lovely birds. I shall come back another time to go into the hides.

Beautiful open nature reserve on the way to Rye. Expansive areas of natural habitat and wetlands for wildlife and birds. Bird watching huts and an elevated glass cafe where you can sit and observe the view with binoculars. Short walk to the sea where you can view camber sands beach. Rye Harbour is a an unspoiled coastal stretch situated at the mouth of the river Rother at Rye Harbour along to Winchelsea Beach. It’s beautiful. Perfect for dog walks or just sitting for a while and taking in sea air.
