This is a great experience that we greatly enjoyed.
The cafe is a cozy and well-priced starting point. You can take your coffees onto the boat, something I appreciated!
The punting boats (punts) were very comfortable and are pushed along the river by your guide. Our guide Sebastian was witty and greatly contributed to the experience.
Many historical facts about Canterbury were shared throughout the tour uncovering some interesting secrets about the rich history of the city. As well as this, you get to experience the city from an angle that is simply impossible to see from the streets.
In regard to pricing, this tour was good value, especially considering the excellent experience you get!
Overall, this is definitely a must-do activity when visiting Canterbury!

Whilst visiting charming Canterbury you must take a tour on a punting boat.

Service is outstanding with the staff at The Canterbury Punting Company. Lots of history and details pointed out on the tour. We even saw a graceful family of swans on the water.

Our guide was wonderful. Charming. Comical and overall delightful. I wish I remembered his name. See image in photo to discover who...:)

We had a great day with Canterbury Punting Company. Sebastian genuinely was kind and gave lots of info about Canterbury. My daughter especially liked it. It was a punt tour to remember. Highly recommended.

Really recommend this company for punting in Canterbury. We were lucky and had the boat to ourselves and had Sebastian as our guide. Loved low the tunnels, beautiful buildings and being able to take a drink on board was a bonus. You check in at the bar next to River.

The tour route was very pretty, and our punter was informative, cool, and funny. Sebastian was our punter. You could tell he was a genuine history buff and has spent a lot of time on the water here. He also plays D&D, so bonus points. The boat was comfortable and stable and the price was decent.

This was an awesome experience. You get to see Canterbury from a completely different perspective. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and full of humor. There is just so much history here. Do it!

Luke was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide and kept us entertained throughout the whole tour. It was our first time in Canterbury so we were all ears and so eager to explore the beautiful scenery. We also initially got confused with our schedule for an earlier one (entirely our mistake) but they were so polite and kind with all our interactions that we ended up just joining the earlier tour.

We also took the tour in the morning so it was a delight that we were able to order some coffee and pastries while being in the tour. 10/10 would recommend! Such an intimate way of getting to know this beautiful city.

We went on a really hot day this week and loved it. Lane was our guide and he gave it 110%! He was so knowledgeable and made it super interesting and fun. The punters look really dapper in their outfits. Those just add to the old-world charm of the experience. We very much enjoyed it. Thanks Lane!!! Tip him well folks as he gives it his all.
