Absolutely Excellent. I am only 13 and writing this review just to say how brilliant this place really is. Me and my family of 4 have stayed in the burr cottage every August since 2017 (apart from 2020- we stayed in the primrose cottage for a change) and we have all loved our stay every time. When we go in 2 weeks, we will be staying in Hazel Cottage due to our unapparent visit last year. As the new willow cottage was in the process of construction, we were sadly missing our beautiful view of the park infront of us, unfortunately we just had to look at a brick wall. The garden was much better before, having a garden to share between the Conker and Burr, and usually left us with some new friends throughout the week. The new facilities are great such as the park, and I have also loved spending time with a new friend I have made on the farm that comes every year the same|as we do. I love seeing the lovely goat Waffles who was new to the farm last year, and the lovely Lola the goat, who we see every year, being her lovely self. As I haven't been back since last August, I am unsure if the Game Room has been updated to the latest vibes , but as from before it was quite dated with a very dusty room with a broken pool table and usually no ping pong balls for the table. We are never disappointed with our trip to the Chestnuts and cannot wait to see all the animals, the sunny weather, the lovely town up the road, and most of all, the goats. Strongly recommend to anybody who would like to have a wonderful getaway to a lovely farm 15 minutes away from the magnificent Skegness.

Our group of four anglers stayed at Chestnuts Cottages in June 2024, their Oak cottage could not faulted, an ideal base for us to explore the many fishing lakes the area has to offer. ||Each member of my party having a bedroom to themselves, all areas spacious, clean and tidy. Showers rooms on both floors making the downstairs perfectly suitable for the elder members of the group who may not have wanted to negotiate the stairs. ||Areas inside the cottage and outside patio/garden to relax and reflect on a day’s fishing or to plan our next move, this could be which of the local pubs to visit that evening or which fishing venue to venture to the following day. ||I’ve stayed at Chestnuts Cottages once before with my, the fact that I felt able to return with my group of fellow anglers for their annual fishing holiday, each of them more than happy with their stay, this tells you that Chestnut Cottages comes highly recommend.

This place is lovely and peaceful like being in the middle of nowhere even though a working farm. Accommodation 10 out of 10 for cleanliness and beds so comfy. The people that run it are very friendly and helpful. Fishing lake is awesome and a stones throw away from the accommodation. Nice village everything on your door step.

Wonderful clean comfortable cottage with everything that you need for a self catering holiday even to getting half a dozen free range eggs direct from the hen|There are plenty of animals to see but this time we didn't come with children so didn't take up the chance to feed them, a small play area was also nice to see being used by a couple of youngsters|We sat by the lake for some peaceful fishing, this was a little slow but we did catch some nice fish|Being disabled I did find it slightly difficult to use the swims but the owners came up with a solution for me which I took up and this was very welcome|Highly recommend this venue for a family holiday you won't go far wrong in choosing this place 5* all round

Lovely quiet place. Very pretty. Within walking distance from the village shop. Cosy cottages. Nice patio area with table chairs and parasol. Ours needed updating, kitchen cupboard doors were falling off, hubby had to fix them, water was dripping through ceiling when it rained but nothing major, we reported it when we left. Lovely bedrooms comfortable beds. Basic kitchen, but has all you need. Staff very helpful. They encourage re cycling which is good. There are farm animals you can interact with, a woodland walk. Fishing is good, caught some lovely carp. Would definitely return and recommend.

We had a great week in a cottage here. |The cottage was huge and clean. |It is on a farm and some mornings you can feed the animals and collect the eggs with the farm workers, who were all nice people and friendly. |It is about a ten minute drive from Skegness where there is loads to do. |On the site there is a pool table and table tennis table and although the games room is a bit dated, it is still good enough to play in with your children. There is also a tennis court, a good Children’s park and tractor rides. |We have booked again already for next year as we all loved it.
