Fantastic zoo with a variety of animals and plenty to see. Gruffalo experience entertaining for young children. Food was very nice recommend the fish and chip restaurant. All staff that I interacted with were friendly and helpful.
Of course being open air and a zoo its weather dependent, even though it was rainy with most animals inside. I was still able to enjoy seeing the majority of them.

Brilliant place to go for the day. Our eldest did the Zoo Keepers Experience for his birthday and he loved it. We got to see him learning and stuff while we walked around. The staff are really friendly, the prices are good too. Lots of places to eat and picnic benches to bring your own food. You can upgrade your tickets for a very small extra fee and this gives you an annual ticket meaning you can return to the zoo with the same ticket as many times as you like all year round.
We will definitely be going back x

I took my little girl here recently and it was a really good day out. There is lots to see and lots of accessible places to buy food and drink all through the park. There is lots of parking but it's about a 5 minute walk from the car park and it's very rocky. It's great value for money and you get a free visit in the next 12 months. Admittedly there is more to do for toddlers and older kids but there is still plenty of animals to look at. There is a huge soft play area as well which looks really good. I would advise booking online to avoid any queues and paying for your parking in advance so there is no delays.

We booked the giant tortoise experience for my children and it made my son’s day as he loves tortoises. The guide, Lucy was very knowledgeable and helpful and she made the time feel personalised. She was friendly and welcoming. We were very pleased with the experience and my children loved feeding the tortoise. As part of the experience one child gets a small soft toy which was a surprise for my son and it just made his day. Thank you so much Lucy and Twycross Zoo! The young man and older lady at guest services on the day were very helpful, especially the man. The staff we interacted with were all very good and welcoming so 5 stars for customer service from us. It was very busy in certain areas such as the splash park as it was a warm day and felt it was quite overcrowded. However, the kids enjoyed cooling down playing in the splash park. It would be useful to have more than just the 2 changing cubicles that they have. I think more are needed. I would say that toilets could be cleaner. Great that you can return for free. It’s not too big but plenty to do for a day out. It’s great that the zoo is a Charity and not for profit so funds are reinvested into conservation. We would highly recommend doing an experience at the zoo and loved our day out and look forward to our next visit.

Took advantage of the annual pass offer. With myself and my girlfriend having a baby who's under two, we didn't have to pay for zoo entry for him. We went for the premium passes. This allows you to park your car for five times for free (usually £3 a time), discounted prices on food and on merchandise and, also 50% off soft play (with a child's annual pass only). *You must activate your annual passes and confirm what time you intend on visiting the zoo, also you need to register your car registration before you visit*

We visited on a rainy day, which wasn't too bad, because we had something to eat and our son went on the soft play, which is big and has plenty to do for kids of all ages. It's also secure too, with the staff taking that part of the job seriously.

We waited for the rain to die down, before heading out to see some animals. Unfortunately most of them were taking shelter because of the rain. We did manage to see a few though. The best thing is that it didn't feel like a waste of a journey, as we have got the yearly pass and we are planning on going again soon.

The staff were friendly, the grounds were clean and well kept, the food was nice, although expensive.

You are allowed picnics in the restaurant area, I feel like they need to have a separate area for people buying food and people who bring their own. Because, even though there are lots of tables, it can get very busy and people who have brought their own food can go anywhere to eat, whilst people who buy from the restaurant can't.

Booked tickets online which saved us from the long entrance queues. Plenty of animals to see and most were out on display, just takes a bit of patience as they’re not there purely for entertainment. Food options were limited but we still found something to enjoy. The highlight for me was watching the giraffes feeding, while my little one loved playing with the safari cars. Great day out and we’ll definitely be back soon with our annual pass!

It was our 2nd return in a year. Currently if you book tickets to the zoo you get a free return within 12 months!! Great value.

We really enjoyed our time at the zoo, the staff are friendly and the zoo is always clean and well maintained.

There is always added activities to add to the day, this summer they had a monopoly activity which was really good.

Throughout the zoo there are always facilities available with food and drink stations, ice cream and food and plenty of toilets which is great as you’re never too far from them.

Definitely worth a visit this summer with the children.

Well organised car parking system, The zoo itself is a great place to visit they have the place well set out with plenty of different types of food. The Zoo has a very good selection of animals. It is flat so there is no worries about to much undulations. We will definitely be going again.
