Very nice place to visit with or without a furry friend. Great views out to sea or across the estuary to Burton Burrows. There is a lovely cafe near to the main car park. Look out for the golf balls while walking. While walking you can walk from Westward Ho! all the way to Northam and Appledore, on land or on the beach when the tide is out.

Beautiful beach, miles of sandunes....to get lost in.....we did on our way back from the beach to the car park. Beach clean and virtually empty, dog friendly and huge especially when the tide is out.

Very nice beach and great if you want to catch some waves. To the right of the life guard hut is dog friendly and left isn't... i could sit here all day watching the surfing.

Parking is £7 for the day or £21 for the week

Brilliant place for a day out. When tide is out, you have a very large beach, great for dogs to run on. There is a golf course running through it and there are sheep grazing as well, so dogs on leads until beach. Cafe, toilets and info centre at one end. Parking was £7 for a day, but you could go and come back within the day.

A lovely country park to visit. The cafe is great - plenty of choice for lunchtime or afternoon snack.

The parking is plentiful! Such a beautiful place to visit. We had a lovely stroll along the beach with our dog.

Lots of sheep strolling around the golf course (I wonder if they ever get hit by golf balls?)

If you are in the area it’s definitely worth a visit!

Loved it. So wonderful to see the entire area looked after so well. Nature and modernisation go hand in hand, golfing with sheep and horses! The sea and the views were magnificent. Do bring a waterproof jacket that keeps the blustery wind out and water to wash your feet if you're planning to head to the beach for a stroll.
