I recently used Station Taxi for a trip from Hassocks to Haywards Heath, which cost £38 compared to Uber’s £20.95. Despite the higher price, I chose to support a local business.

However, my experience was disappointing. I had £30 in cash, thinking it would cover the fare and a tip, but had to pay the remaining £8 by card. Later, the company called, claiming I only paid £8 and that the driver reported I hadn’t paid in cash at all. This was despite a pleasant conversation with the driver during the journey.

While the fare was unexpectedly high, my primary issue is the accusation of underpaying, which is frustrating and upsetting. As a new resident in the area, I’m deeply disappointed and won’t be using their services again. They are investigating, but this incident has left a negative impression.

When they decide to provide excellent service, they're spot on. But when they decide not to... nothing like being left to fend for yourself. Depends who answers the phone when you call ? to reserve. Good luck.

If I could give a minus score I would .this company treated my mother horribley saying she had body odor . If complained about one of there drivers smelling I would be banned. They over charge and are a disgraceful.

Booked a pet friendly taxi 3 hours before i needed it and they called me 5 mins before they were picking me up from the Vets to go home to say they couldn't help. I had a sick dog who just had a operation and I was stuck outside alone with a dog who couldn't walk. Will never use this company.

I use this taxi firm for adhoc events (weddings etc) throughout the year and for airport runs. Always very clear with pricing and finer details such as how much luggage we will have. Great service!

Booked with Station Cars using their website because no one answered the phone…..no one turned up…..it’s quite dissapointing

Remarkably few ever seem to be at the Station when you need them despite the name. Last time I used them I called a week ahead of time for an airport cab and then on the day they couldn't source a driver.
