We had a wonderful stay at Magical Margate. Our big family group had plenty of space and loved the location, and the fact that each bedroom is ensuite and could be twin or double. Kids (ages 8-15) absolutely loved the cinema room and the play room they called Narnia (dressing up box was a hit). Everything was clean and the kitchen really well equipped (which is a refreshing change from other places we’ve stayed). Recommend visiting Broadstairs beach (20 mins by bus) and Dreamland. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks Anna.

This is the perfect property for a family gathering. Everything about our Christmas stay was so fabulous. From initial contact with Anna, communication was efficient and clear, with no issues at any point. On arrival I was super impressed with Roger who helps look after the property, as he insisted on helping with unloading our enormous amount of Christmas fayre! Thank you Roger. The love and detail that has gone into this property is evident everywhere you turn:arty detail, perfect bedlinen, hidden gems, a massive dining table to comfortably seat all guests, very well appointed bedrooms, a fantastic cinema room, several areas for quiet relaxation. We were blown-away by the work that had gone in to dress the house for Christmas. It looked so sparkly and magical throughout. Our family group is aged 19 to 89 and every single one thought it was perfect in every way. Anna, what you have achieved and are offering is truly Magical. Thank you so much. This was the best Christmas we could possibly have imagined. Keep up the great work.

I'm so pleased that we found the Magical Margate Townhouse. It's a house that's full of character, clearly very loved and cared for by its owners and just a joy to be in.

We had a wonderful weekend in Margate, enjoying both the house and all its spaces, spending time in the dining room, the patio and garden area and the living room. The house was perfect for us. We were a group of 14 celebrating a birthday. Everyone said how comfortable their rooms were and really valued having their own bathrooms.

The house is in a super location. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach, a 5 minute walk to the Walpole pool, a ten minute walk to The Turner museum and 15 minutes to the main beach.

Communications with Anna from the start were easy and informative. Anna has lots of great local recommendations of places to eat and things to do.

Loved it, and we will definitely be back!

What a place!!
Totally beautiful house with a lovely modern vibe. Great for big groups and family holidays near the sea. We stayed here when the weather was a bit pants and it didn't matter. The space was perfect for hanging out. Just a few doors away from a cafe that does a veggie breakfast, and a few minutes from the beach.
The cinema room was perfect for playing video games and watching movies. Loads of beach stuff for use like classic bucket and spade. Oh and the biggest bath I've ever seen!

What a magical place. So much space. The beds are so comfortable, all our party slept so well. The children loved the secret play room. The kitchen is well equipped and even has two dishwashers. Ideally placed for exploring the area, the beach is a 10 minute stroll and is very clean. Anna is very helpful and quick to respond should you have any queries. I would highly recommend this property.

Spent a great November long weekend in Magical Margate Townhouse.
The house itself is superb, recently renovated to a high standard with lots of nice touches. Comfortably accommodated 16 adults, all bed rooms are a good size (some are huge) with comfortable beds, plenty of hanging space and en-suite toilet / shower rooms.
A large kitchen with everything needed to cater for a party of 16 if you are cooking in as we did on one evening. The adjacent dining room has a large table that can seat everyone comfortably for dinner and breakfasts.
There is lots of space in the hose for people to chill, a large lounge on the first floor, cinema room and even a music room.
The house is well located in a residential area but only a 1 minute walk to the sea and a 12 minute walk in to Margate town center.
We were all able to park (6 cars) within 20m of the house, but appreciate that parking might be a bit more of a challenge in summer months.
Anna the house owner was extremely helpful and provided lots of info on the area, recommendations for restaurants and entertainment etc.
Nice touch to find a selection of cakes and a massive bowl of fresh fruit on our arrival.
Also a quick note for Roger who looks after the house, great guy and also very helpful, we arrived a little early and he was still prepping the house. Let us in and insisted on helping us unload the cars before he left.
Really couldn't find anything to critique, if you're looking for somewhere for a group or family get together in Margate I would highly recommended Magical Margate Townhouse.

WOW!!!!! THIS PROPERTY IS AMAZING!!!!! We stayed here to celebrate a friend's big birthday - he loves Margate - and it was all a big surprise. The property is such a knockout - he actually had a little cry walking through it all (happy tears of course!). The decor is gorgeous (the website pics actually don't do it true justice!) - each bedroom feels like you're staying at a boutique hotel - and the group spaces are incredible - more than ample for the large groups the house accommodates and each have their own unique atmosphere. We came to paint Margate town red - but honestly none of us wanted to leave the house as it all felt so fabulous. We had a great time having a BBQ in the back yard - and even gave the organ a bit of a play! We were a group of adults - but we already have plans to come back with our families as the space is so magical for kids (don't even get me started on the hidden play room!!!) Anna is just lovely - incredibly communicative and hospitable - and returned my security deposit super quickly. Thank you so much for such a magical experience - we'll be back!

Just as amazing the second time around! Our large group had another great stay at the house over the new year period. We had no hesitation in re-booking this year given how beautiful the house is and how much space it offers. Rooms are all well appointed and awesome for all the bedrooms to have an en-suite. Location is great on the coast and no issues again to find parking outside.

The older children in the group couldn’t wait to take over the cinema room again for games and movies whilst the younger ones enjoyed the play room. The children also enjoyed both the bowling alley and outdoor play area around the corner from the house which helped to burn off some of their energy!

Although we cooked in the house most of the time, we did order a Chinese take away one evening from ‘New Shanghai’ which everyone enjoyed and was reasonably priced for such a large order!

Anna was super helpful as ever and organised the festive decor and a few treats on arrival. So glad we returned and I expect we’ll all be back again.
