Leaders have been letting our property since we bought it 2 years ago. Our property manager, Taylor Gadd, has been very efficient and effective since day 1, really pleased with the service. We have used other letting agents with other properties and Leaders would be our go to agent in the Southampton area. Our experience with Leaders Estate Agents was a bit of a mixed bag. The team was always polite and helpful when they did respond, and I do appreciate their efforts. However, the lack of communication and delays in sorting the contract were quite frustrating. After completing our part, we heard nothing for over a month and had to chase multiple times, only to receive basic updates. The contract itself wasn’t finalized until the day before our tenancy began, with the landlord signing at 7 AM on move-in day, which felt incredibly last-minute.

Upon moving in, we also noticed that the flat hadn’t really been cleaned beyond eye level, which was disappointing and not quite up to our personal standards. While I understand that some delays were likely down to the landlord rather than the agency, it is ultimately the agent's responsibility to ensure admin tasks are completed in a timely manner.

That said, I did appreciate the team’s help when they were responsive, and I recognize that not everything is within their control. With better communication and a more proactive approach to chasing necessary paperwork, the experience could have been much smoother.

So, here’s my honest review and opinion; I can not thank my agent any more for making my moving process so easy and simple, as a first time tenant I was honestly terrified however the calm manner from them was comforting. Response time was unlike most and I would get a email reply virtually within the hour. They were very patient while we waited for documents to arrive in the post and then once they did and it was time to collect the keys, the process was so simple and easy. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience as a first time tenant. Will be returning to say a little thank you in person.
