Used these chargers several times. Plenty of them and easy to get to. Short hop off the A1 to get to these, I always use them while heading south on the A1 as they suit my journey. Never had an issue, always managed to get straight on one with no wait and charged easily and quickly.

Excellently kitted out charging station, though the turning circle to get in is tight. As you enter the services hook immediately right as soon as you hit the car park.

Getting to the entrance is a case of dodging lanes of traffic.

But the sheer level of service here is great, AC+Chademo, tripl-head, AND DC+Chademo so it should be hard getting blocked here.

OFC, these are 30 minute chargers so if you're staying overnight I'd move the vehicle when the charger cuts off automatically at between 30-35 minutes 😉

First charger would not connect so had to get back in car and go to different charger
This is the second issue we’ve had in a week with GRIDSERVE chargers, charger got stuck after charging at Wetherby and now connection issues at Ferrybridge
Once hooked up really quick however and app very good

There are plenty of available high speed chargers for EVs to charge. My only input would be that in some cases the charging might disconnect immediately after you plug in the cable to your vehicle. I thought it was the charger, however after moving 4-5 spots & on the phone with customer service, I figured it had to be the car. On my final try, after plugging in the cable to my car and making the payment, as soon as the screen said connecting, I pushed the cable harder into my car socket and held it there all the while firmly pushing the cable into the car & it worked. Net-net it was a loose connection the other 4-5 times. Keep this in mind & it should hopefully work for you too.

Another new bank of Gridserve chargers at the Ferrybridge Services which will mean there will be 34 cables in total mostly being HPC plus the two older units near the Travel Lodge.

Managed to make a top-up stop before heading up to Wetherby Fast Chargers. ~30kW charge speed. The service station itself is a little past its best, but certainly usable and obviously not in the control of GridServe. It wasn't too much of a detour off the A1 either, it you are heading north/south.
