We had two nights in room 526. We chose this room as it's on the top floor and we thought we might get some nice views of the water. We didn't see the water. That's not the hotel's fault. It's low water and there are lots of trees.|Standard hotel room design and fittings.|I do like a room safe and a big TV.|We didn't spend much time in the room anyway.|It's showing its age though. The wallpaper inside the window frame is peeling away badly. It has been exposed to rain water when the window is opened. I like a window that opens too.|The wallpaper in the corridor leading to/from the lifts is badly marked with scuffs and scratches.|The bathroom door needs looking at from the inside. The door casing has been poorly repaired and the door is badly worn.|We both found the bed a little hard but the pillows were terrible. Too small and settled hard around the head. Difficult to get comfortable. The room was large enough to move around but get rid of the chaise long. It's small and doesn't really do a job wedged under the window.|Shower worked fine. Toilet is difficult to flush.|Breakfast was OK. I didn't find the cooked items very nice and went for some porridge and fruits the next morning.|Nothing special and we got two each. One for each morning at the cheaper rate for booking in advance of £15 each. That's £60 for two days at the cheap rate!!|I felt a bit conned.|Breakfast room is lovely in the round old glass kiln. It's a key feature of the hotel. |It needs a thorough clean though. Go and take a look at the bottom of the window frames. Dirt in there that's not been shifted for YEARS.|The staff in there were really nice as were them all on the front desk.|The location of the hotel was perfect for us as we arrived by train and it's a short walk from Temple Meads. I would stay here again but for this reason only. Otherwise I would look elsewhere next time.

Stayed here at the start of the month for work. Like most Hilton hotels, you know you will get a good product. Only thing I found strange was that the reception was up on the first floor when you enter into the building, so walk in and climb stairs to check-in. Likely the design of the older building. The rest is finished to a high standard. The rooms are clean and tidy, reception and lobby modern. The area for breakfast the next morning was very interesting as their pictures show and the standard of the breakfast was very good. All in another good Hilton stay.

Stayed one night with our family of four, in two rooms. Check in was great, nice and welcoming. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean. The hallways and stair areas could use an update and refresh, the old brown carpet makes the hotel feel outdated. The elevator was also slow and one was out of service so we ended up taking the stairs with our luggage.

The breakfast in the Kiln room was fantastic, a great selection of breads, pastries, cereals, meats and cheeses plus hot food, everything was excellent and the staff were friendly. Highly recommend !

All staff were friendly & professional. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good quality, varied & frueqently replenished. Yes, we paid for parking (you would anywhere) but we knew our car was safe & secure. It's in a good location too (not far from the harbour) Highly recommend this hotel

Nicely located hotel, breakfast a great mix in a really fun old glass kiln.

As other reviews say rooms feel a little tired but they were by no means dirty — super clean and house keeping staff on top form.

Arrived late on Friday and was checked in no problem.

Originally from Bristol, never stayed here as haven’t had the need. Moved away and ended up staying here for work. What can I say….the staff are fantastic, from reception, to the bar and the room service. Such genuinely nice people who aren’t scared to have a laugh with their customers which is refreshing. Hilton Kensington could learn a lot from this particular Hilton hotel. The rooms are lovely, not massive but more than enough for one or two people. Decor is lovely, bit tired here and there but hey ho nothing bad at all.
THE FOOD….oh my gosh it’s amazing (pictures provided of the dirty fries and Caesar salad)
Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, will be recommending it to my team at work for work trips going forward. Thank you ☺️

*Edit* I’ve unfortunately removed a couple of stars as I feel like the hotel have acted over the top by posting a letter under my door at 6:30am about a “discrepancy” with my bill. I’ve phoned in a panic thinking there is something wrong with the payment for the whole booking (paid for by work) and it was only to tell me I owe them £4.25 for the over spend at my evening meal. Come on!! I would have been paying that when I check out so why put a letter under my door causing panic Not impressed, I pointed out what I ordered and it doesn’t make an overspend at all. So I don’t owe them anything. Starting the day on a sour note….

Haven't stayed at the hotel, but came this afternoon unexpectedly due to trains being cancelled and my son and I had the most beautiful welcome in the bar, really lovely person behind the bar, who took time to show us The Kiln restaurant - beautiful, will definitely come back!
We had nice drinks whilst waited to be picked up, hotel seemed very clean as well. Thank you
