Economical with the truth. Avoid this company if you can. Try other reputable car hire firms. I arrived in Cyprus with my wife and we were left stranded at Larnaka airport at 8.30pm. Only to be told the car we paid for six months in advance was given to someone else. Called the office three times and they were unwilling to resolve. They kept putting the phone down. Not to mention i incurred costs to call from a UK cellphone to Spanish HQ to resolve to no avail. I was forced by the local company to pay an extra 190Euros if I wanted a car. This is unacceptable and not the warm welcome we were expecting for a service previously paid for and not delivered.

I had a very disappointing experience with Carjet. I booked with a Visa credit card, but at the rental desk the company could not process the payment – despite Visa being clearly listed in the contract. They claimed some EU-issued cards don’t work, and since they had no card terminal, I was forced to pay twice. Carjet also advertises that they are the cheapest option, but in reality I ended up paying double (including extra insurance) due to their misleading information. As an intermediary they should ensure their partners honor the listed payment methods, but instead they left me with double charges and no solution. I cannot recommend booking with them.

Used this company on line to book vehicle for NZ travel.
Booked line for easily but this was the beginning of a nightmare.
Once arranged I tried to amend my booking. Sent emails and used website before giving up and travelling out. Upon arrival I was told by the handling company (Sixt) that I was a no show a month before actually arriving in NZ.
I now realise that I had booked a month earlier than I had intended to.
I was told by the handling company that they expected me to be refunded. They contacted CarJet and guess what - no response.
Long story short. Despite a complaint no money returned as my fault even though I tried to contact them before the wrong hire date.
Will not ever use again. Will not recommend ☹️
We learn lessons the hard way but not all companies ignore the customers attempt to make contact.
Unbelievably poor customer service based on my own experience.
My advice is get cheapest quote and then contact larger company and ask them to match the price.
Above all check your booking dates and do your due diligence on companies first ☹️🇪🇸 ( company based in Spain)

Scammy and Inflexible – Avoid CarJet at All Costs

I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with CarJet and want to warn others about their predatory policies and complete lack of customer care.

I booked a car and needed to change the pick-up time—not the date, not the duration, just the time—from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on the same day. This is a basic, reasonable request that any professional rental company should be able to accommodate. I contacted CarJet in advance to let them know, but they refused to make the change or even notify the rental supplier. Instead, they told me the booking would be automatically cancelled if I didn’t arrive within 6 hours of the original time—and no refund would be issued.

They hid behind fine print and offered zero flexibility or support. I didn’t cancel the booking—I was just arriving later, and they still took my money and offered me nothing in return.

Their behavior feels scammy and unethical. CarJet clearly counts on customers missing small details in the terms to profit off cancellations and denied service. If you value fair treatment, transparency, and basic customer service, stay far away from this company.

I booked a car with CarJet for 09/07/2025 but never received the check code to collect it. Their staff promised a refund after escalation to a manager, but over 4 weeks later I’ve had no response and no refund. Terrible communication and zero accountability. I will be escalating this through my bank and consumer authorities. Very disappointing experience. Avoid this company!!!!

I implore anyone reading this to avoid using this company at all costs. Have recently had similar experience to others noted here whereby the car hire company that CarJet have booked me with will not provide the car unless amendments are made to the CarJet booking, and CarJet will not allow amendments to the booking as the collection time had passed. Spoke to CarJet in Spain and they were unable to help in any way, and just rude. It seems we will have to go without the hire car we paid for and will have to make other arrangements.

DO NOT TOUCH THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO PAY A £700 DEPOSIT FOR THE CAR.
Europcar was the partner rental company that I was supposed to collect the car and they advised me that they would tell CarJet that they refused the booking and I’d get a refund. Seems like CarJet and the rental companies do this on the regular; they both getting paid without any cars being used.
It took over 2 weeks and 3 emails before they responded to my complaint.

I have used Carjet many times over several years. We recently rented a car at Malaga airport. The rental was in my name. Unfortunately I forgot my driving licence. It was explained at the car rental company desk that we could rent in my wife’s name (she had her licence with her) but we’d have to pay for the car again in full at the desk and contact Carjet to cancel our booking through them. So we did this but Carjet refused to refund, quoting terms and conditions - “gotcha”. That’s not an appropriate way to treat a longstanding client. I will not be booking through them again.
