Having used several hire companies through my work it was an absolute breath of fresh air to call today and speak to Jack, really helpful was able to tell me the make, model and reg other companies we have used I get told don’t know you’ll have what we’ve got on the day. They arranged for the vehicle to be dropped off early and due to this I also spoke to another team member there again really informative and helpful!! Well done to you all at Thrifty Swansea !!!

Excellent customer service from the guys at Thrifty. Second time I have hired and it is always a pleasure dealing with them. Only slight gripe I would have is the amount of time with all the paperwork but I understand these things must be done. The boys, Scott, the guy who's name I can't remember (only been there 3 weeks) and the area manager from Salisbury were very friendly, gave us a great deal and were a pleasure to meet. Highly recommended and we will be returning. Thanks again.

STAY CLEAR!!!!
Do not hire from the Swansea branch, failed to do a car check in at end of hire agreement following my car accident repair. "Just leave the keys with the repair centre" he said.
As a result they put a claim in agaist me for damage. Luckily I had a video of the car. However took months to sort out with my Insurance company.

Very easy booking process. Arrived to pick up the car to find I had been upgraded for free. Ending up having a Discovery sport HSE. Very friendly and professional staff. I've used them before and I will use them again. Only negative is that the other half wants one now.

Haven't rented a car for several years and assumed that at 73 I'd have a problem - Not with Thrifty. Excellent prices, excellent vehicles, super service from Ashley at Swansea, a really personable guy who would be an asset to any rental company. Full marks Thrifty, five star all round.

I have hired a number of vehicles from both Cardiff and Swansea branches in the past. The team at Swansea were far more efficient and reliable.

I will be using the Swansea Branch for all my future rental needs.

Absolutely shocking. I am 17 weeks pregnant and have been thoroughly ripped off by Thrifty and would advise anyone in the Swansea area to find an alternative hire company. Hired a van from them to take a sofa to my sister's, delivered the van back to Thrifty, a man named Simon Peddley checked the van over with my partner, confirmed all was fine and dandy, completed a damage report that was signed by both Simon and my partner and emailed to us. Simon then shook hands with my partner and bid him good day. Some time later, another damaged report cones through with only Simon's signature stating totally different information about the van and claiming damage for which they have now not only withheld our deposit but claimed further accusations on top. They have already admitted they have no confirmation of these accusations and yet the company is still refusing to assist us. This has caused untold stress and upset and has affected both me and my pregnancy negatively.

Head office can only do so much and to be honest that turned out to be nothing at all. Our situation sits in the hands of the individual who falsified a second damage report. To boot I should add that when we picked the van up we received an initial damage report stating that the van had no left back wheel which was incorrect because the van we collected had all 4 wheels. Otherwise it unlikely we could have hired it in the first place. When we queried this we were told it was an ERROR on the report. Just additional proof of the shoddy service and terrible attitudes of the staff.

I also want to add another odd thing which has also been mentioned by many others who have used them, my partner was also made to log into his online banking and give his phone to the staff so they could verify his bank details. This smells like an absolute fraud scan when you add in how much personal documentation paperwork they required, and the fact they take it out of your sight to copy and verify. Will be speaking to police and solicitors as well as making this as public as I possibly can.

Do not give this company your time, personal info or your money and if you do, make sure you don't go to the Swansea branch or Simon will be emptying your bank account too.
