Skinny Tyres is owned and run by Scot. The name gives it away- he is a Scot by birth and the beauty of Scotland is something that he and his tours can definitely show you.

The tour was one of the best cycling experiences of my life. If you want to explore Scotland's stunning coastal beaches, see and cycle the mountains in Skye and have an epic and wild time on Mull then this is the company for you!

Scot takes care of your mechanical needs and also the trip costs includes a 3 course dinner every night. There are easy to follow routes which take you to stunning vistas and plenty of snacks to prevent you from getting tired.

Scot is flexible and so he is adept at altering routes and flexing plans if this is needed or of customers have specific requests.

If you are looking for a genuine person who really wants to share the beauty of Scotland with you, then look no further!

I have just returned home from a fantastic cycling tour of the Outer Hebrides on the Hebridean Way cycling route. What a stunning part of the world!

The weather was a little changeable but I was never uncomfortable and actually found the wind an invigorating challenge. The roads were quiet and the scenery quite breathtaking.

Scot is phenomenally knowledgeable about the islands and Scotland in general. He is clearly passionate about his country and about his business and he never fails to go the extra mile to ensure that his clients have an excellent experience on their Skinny Tyres tour. He positively encourages people to stop and enjoy the beaches and the cafés, rather than just beasting through the day from one hotel to the next.

It's really uplifting to see a Skinny Tyres support van passing you on the road or waiting for you at a junction. Even though I was having a great time and didn't need any particular assistance, it was a joy to arrive at the van and be able to yabber effusively to someone who appreciated my enthusiasm and delight.

The other cyclists in our group were a pleasure to be with and I really enjoyed their company and sense of humour. It was fun riding with them as and when that happened, and fabulous to see that I wasn't the only one having a ball.

Both Scot and Kirsteen are utterly dedicated to their mission of delivering an exceptional cycling holiday and it really pays off. Thank you! I hope to come back with friends next time.

While cycling the Great Glen Way my husband had the great good fortune to meet Scot and his support van just as an issue had occurred with his bike. Despite us being independent cyclists not on a Skinny Tyres tour, Scot took the time and trouble to get us back in the road quickly, refusing our offer of payment. If this is how Scot treats non-customers, his cycling clients must be very lucky indeed.

Hebridean Way cycle tour with Skinny Tyres exceeded my expectations in every way! Scot was a wonderful guide-knowledgeable, kind, organized and attentive. Endless supplies of amazing snacks including Soreen and Kendal mint cake-both new to me! The bike route was challenging for me-new to cycle touring. But challenging in a great way that led to a sense of accomplishment at the end of each day. And the trusty van and Scot was always nearby checking in, tweaking my bike, coaching and encouraging. Scot went above and beyond in so many ways. I look forward to another adventure with Skinny Tyres!

We had a wonderful week of cycling in the Hebrides with Skinny Tyres. Scot our guide was very attentive and helpful with everything. Delicious seafood and breathtaking scenery. The cycling was tough but we had flexibility in what we each did and a real sense of achievement at the end. Highly recommend for all levels of cyclists.

We enjoyed Scot's Hebridean Way tour last year so much, that we chose to to join him on his Scotland C2C last week.
A truly amazing experience, with the smoothest, quietest roads through stunning scenery. Scot's thoughtful, meticulous planning allows you cycle on quiet back roads, away from the tourist traffic, from Montrose, upto Inverness, down to Fort William and ending at the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse.
Rolling arable hills, hidden lochs, mountains and glens, beautiful views and amazing wildlife, all supported by Scot and his "Goody Van".
Scot's extensive knowledge of cycling in Scotland and his brilliant logistics were abundantly clear, allowing us to simply cycle and enjoy every minute.
We can't recommend Scot and Skinny Tyres highly enough. If you're thinking of a Scottish cycling holiday, then this is the place...and the man!
We're already looking forward next year's trip, hopefully the "MOGJOG"!

We've recently returned from a tour of the Outer Hebrides with Scot and Skinny Tyres and it was, quite simply, the best organised cycling tour we've experienced.
Scot's attention to detail was evident throughout the whole week and his carefully planned logistics made it easy for us to simply cycle and enjoy the stunning scenery along this amazing route.
One particularly pleasant aspect of the holiday was Scot's decision not to put wine on the table every night, but instead, to allow all his clients to chose anything from the menu. We have previously experienced hotel "set meals" with other cycle tour companies which can best be described as inedible "slop", so Scot's alternative approach was gratefully appreciated.
We will, hopefully, be signing upto other Skinny Tyres tours (we just wish you organised some continental tours too, Scot!) and we can highly recommend this company if you're considering a UK cycling tour.
Thanks for a fantastic week to all those friendly, fun folk on our trip and especially to Scot for his outstanding preparation and hard work.
