This little adventure was the highlight of our Scotland vacation. Set in the canyons of Bruar Falls, every stage of the trail brought different thrills in measured doses, such as slides, waterfall jumps, abseiling and zip lining. Rory and Kirsten were excellent guides. They explained safety procedures patiently in a manner that made a mundane topic light hearted and easy to remember, but yet underlining the seriousness of equipment and canyoning safety. They were patient in explaining how to handle the various obstacles safely while tailoring their instructions to specific individuals such as my wife and daughters, who have different levels of fitness and physical strength. Throughout the hike, Rory and Kirsten provided interesting commentary on the terrain, fauna and flora which took my mind away from my aching body. They were friendly and professional and were able to inspire confidence in the most timid member of our group to attempt high waterfall jumps, me. This adventure is not for everyone but if you are reasonably fit and a decent swimmer, go for it. With excellent instructors like Rory and Kirsten, you will be in good hands. I highly recommend this tour if you are in the area. We will certainly be back again.

Me and my son just went on the Ultimate Bruar trip and it was absolutely excellent! We left with the biggest smiles on our faces! The three guides Rory, Amelia and Kirsten made the trip so enjoyable catering to all the individual needs of the group. Cannot say enough good things about them as individuals and the canyoning company as a whole! Can’t wait to do the next trip with you!

What a fantastic experience. Rory and George, our guides for today, had made this trip very special. With a group of just 7 people, we experienced all things fun in the Bruar Falls (slides, high jumps and abseiling). The gear was great, the atmosphere was good. When in doubt, try it out!

ULTIMATE BRUAR trip.

Our Guide/Instructor Rory was excellent. Was there ahead of time, gave a detailed/informative safety brief that was engaging for the younger member of the group, and went over the abseiling and other techniques required for the Canyoning

The walk up to the entrance point was fine not too challenging, went over the key points off the canyoning route. Historical and geographical information was given free of charge 😊

A wee dip into the water before committing to the biggest abseil which commits to the route.

The drops required a certain level of courage but Rory initial brief covered landings, and at each drop he was there detailing whether a jump or a slide in and the depths around.

Walks, swim and scrambling between features was good and didn’t even realise it had been raining until Rory mentioned it.

We managed to complete within the 4hr mark with being a smaller group.

We had such an amazing time with The Canyoning Company, it was honestly the highlight of our trip. Amelia was brilliant from start to finish – so friendly, professional, and made the whole experience feel fun and safe.

One really lovely moment that stood out was when a member of our group, who wasn’t canyoning, was flying a drone to film us. Unfortunately, it got stuck in a tree and then dropped down. Amelia didn’t hesitate to offer help and actually went to retrieve it for us. It was such a kind gesture and meant a lot, especially since the drone had all our trip memories on it.

Can’t recommend this company enough – everything was really well organised, the team was great, and the whole experience is one we’ll never forget. Thank you!

I have now done two canyoning trips with TCC and looking forward to going again. Excellent instruction, guidance and general banter from the leads combined with exhilarating jumps, slides and rappels into pools and waterfalls make for a proper adventure.

I've been on two courses with the canyoning company (the canyon leader and advanced canyoning course). Both courses were so much fun and really well run. I struggle with confidence, as well as learning slower than others. The team always create a relaxed atmosphere and know how to adapt the course to make sure they get the best out of you. The courses are the perfect blend between learning and feeling like you're having fun with friends. I've since gone on to have the confidence to canyon personally which has been amazing.
To help progress and get a taste of bigger canyons I've also been on an international trip with the team to Ticino which was a bucket ticking trip.
Whether you just want a day taster or want to get into canyoning the team are fantastic and will give you a great experience.
