I recently visited Nickelodeon Lakeside in Grays and was really impressed by how clean and well-maintained the place is. The decoration is amazing, with a lot of attention to detail that makes it feel really special. I did expect the space to be slightly bigger, but it’s still a great place for young kids to enjoy.

One downside was the 4D cinema. I would definitely recommend it for children aged 7 and above. My 4-year-old son found the experience overwhelming and was very scared of the movie. In fact, more than half of the audience left within the first 3 minutes because it was too intense for younger children.

Took my nephew who is 6 here as a birthday treat. I managed to get a good deal online where the adult goes free.

It’s a big area and has a little boating school, was a while to queue for this but it was pretty good! There’s also another ride in the mutant turtle area and a soft play area that I noticed all the children enjoyed!

The SpongeBob area was great with all the different interactive points!

There was only 2 characters to meet and greet today as I thought there would have been a wide range.

Only 4 stars as I felt like there was absolutely no staff around anywhere and the staff that was there, looked VERY miserable. I noticed someone’s child went for a walkabout and couldn’t find them and the woman had no staff member to ask for help. Also slightly disappointed with the price of the food considering it’s very basic and the cafe shuts at 3pm. Also the 4D cinema was a lot shorter than I expected… pretty sure it was less than 10 minutes!

Overall a great day out as my nephew wants to come again and again!

It was really good. Plenty to do. And our daughter got to meet two of her favourite characters, SpongeBob and Marshall out of paw patrol. Loads of parking and it was free. Went on an inset day and it was very quiet.

My son really enjoyed our visit here today. Although most reviews say it takes max 2 hours to get round we did go on everything and including queuing time for 2 rides and some playing and half hour for lunch we were there for 4 hours.

Cafe is nice for lunch as it's a Starbucks, coffee was good and sandwiches were fresh. Toilets were clean and staff were friendly. Tickets were half price for Easter holidays so a total of £16 for 3 people. Thought it might be a bit young for my 5 year old but he still thoroughly enjoyed himself. Characters to meet today were SpongeBob and Chase. Would definitely recommend.

I usually hate places like this but was really pleasantly surprised at how clean, spacious and good value it was (with the free kid offer). Some good activities for the kids to do. The boats had a massive queue but there’s loads to do in SpongeBob world without them. Ninja turtles land was good fun. Lots of characters to meet.

Had an amazing adventure at Nickelodeon Adventure with my niece she absolutely loved it and we will definitely go back again. My personal favourite is the 4D cinema. It a very good way to keep your little ones entertained during the holidays.

We went her for the first time on Thursday it was a really good experience my daughter loved the rides and because it was quiet we could go on more than once. The soft play area was nice and the meet and greet was a lovely experience she got to meet her favourite character skye. If your child loves paw patrol or sponge bob would definitely recommend.

We always planned to visit as we have a paw patrol fan in our family, we booked tickets ahead of time and very pleased we did as we saved a considerable amount of money with an Easter promotion. The down side, when we arrived, everyone had to queue in the same line as those who hadn’t booked and were buying tickets. There was one till open and queues out the door, a poor first experience. (The till to buy tickets was empty!)
The paw patrol section was probably the most disappointing as there were no real rides just vehicles to sit in and a slide. The spongebob had the driving boats and the turtles had the cycling ride so they were more fun. We loved the turtles play area although we did not like the fact once the kids enter the triangle climb area, you lose complete sight of your child and then there are two exits, one of which would easily allow your child to wonder away into another area. From a safeguarding prospective this made us uncomfortable.
The 4 D cinema was very good.
The cafe was poorly ran/managed, the tables weren’t cleared or cleaned until I asked for a cloth to wipe ours.
The meet the characters was the best part, they were managed well and they were good with the kids. One man in particular was amazing with ‘shimmer and shine’, he really went out of his way to make our experience a good one.
Overall the kids do enjoy it, that was what it was about. We won’t visit again as simply not enough going on for a 140 mile round trip.
