Lovely walk and great to see the castle if only to imagine what is inside. Would be good to see it restored enough to peek inside

A wonderfully romantic setting on the Southeast part of the island. I don’t know if many people will find the one hours’ drive from the centre worth it since there’s not much to see apart from this abandoned 14th century castle- But the setting is beautiful and on a nice day it’s an amazing spot to enjoy the beauty of The Isle Of Mull. If you’re all away there and a fan of outlander make sure you check out the standing stones which is a couple of miles away.

It is without repair and attention, closed entry. Some body or bodies yet have the nerve to fly the British flag from the tower, much to the dismay and angerment of the lively Scottish gentleman we encountered below, who made vehement proclamations about independence several times for good measure

Moy castle is well worth a visit, it's only 10 minute walk from the car park. It's currently under renovation so you can't go inside.

The stroll along the footpath to Moy Castle allows you to ponder how life was in these ancient times. The dusky sands on the beach highlight the unique geology of the area. Moy Castle has roots to the Knights Templar! Notice the unique alignment of the windows which is not an accident and the Castle leans at a 33 degree angle.

The surroundings are as picturesque as the castle itself. The trail is quite rustic and requires good footwear in bad weather conditions. Don't forget to visit the nearby stone circle (but be careful, you have to walk over very wet meadows even on sunny days).

It was really neat to see the castle in person, however, I wish we could actually go inside.
The castle truly is beautiful.
(Side note: there are no bathrooms anywhere close...make sure you go before you travel.)

Not able to go in, but worth the trek to the area. Best, authentic castle in an interesting location. Need to be able to walk to get to it, but very picturesque.
