What an incredible journey with Ruth ! We booked the Otter Detective Walk and it was wonderful.

Ruth is passionate about what she does, and takes pleasure in sharing her knowledge about everything we encounter (be it otters, flowers, plants, etc...).

Ruth shared with us some pairs of binoculars, so we could start looking for otters. We managed to see 3 different otters (thanks to Ruth) doing their things (hunting, swimming, spraying and running on land). It was a magical moment.

Ruth also prepared food for us, which was absolutely delicious, and brought scones and hot drinks for the end of the walk.

We can't thank you enough for those moments. Even if our trip to Scotland isn't finished yet, we can safely say that this day was the best day of our trip.

Ruth was so wonderful to deal with. I booked the Otter Detective Walk with her over email and paid over Paypal so it was really easy. She provided a fantastic homemade lunch and homemade scones and she was just so knowledgeable about the local wildlife. She taught the group a lot about the native plants, pointed out a very rare butterfly (and logged details to report the sighting) and of course we were lucky and saw a wonderful otter, who was fishing and caught a big eel and brought it up on the beach - an incredible experience. She is so passionate about the wildlife and truly cares about them - the wildlife comes first, not the tourists - as it should be!! Anyone looking for a non-invasive walk with a fantastic guide will not go wrong with Ruth.

The walk with Ruth was a wonderful experience. She is so passionate about the wildlife on mull and it makes every minute of the tour very special. Of course the homemade sandwiches and scones are the cherry on top of the whole experience. If you want to experience the wildlife of mull with the most competent of guides, this is the place to book!

Perfection. Ruth took us on an amazing tour. We did the eighteen island odyssey tour and the scenery was amazing, Ruth knew everything and explained it to us. Her lunch was amazing too.

Love doing trips with Mull Magic, there are a variety of Trips available and Ruth is a great guide. Despite having been to Mull a couple of times we still like to take time to do a trip with Ruth to give us a chance to relax and enjoy the scenery - lunch and cakes don't hurt either :).

What a brilliant day. I joined one of Ruth's Otter Walks, and got to see some truly stunning parts of Mull that I would not have likely visited alone. She is a true expert: not only did we see plenty of otters, as well as seals, eagles, curlews and more, but she also taught us about the plantlife around us, the otters and their lifecycles, and much more besides. Her homecooked lunch and scones were a huge treat too. I can't wait to come back!
