A small and friendly tourist information office near the bottom of the High Street, staffed by volunteers. The man behind the counter was very knowledgeable and helpful when I asked him what there was to see on a very short visit to Budleigh Salterton, and he gave me a free guide to the resort. There's lots of info, leaflets, maps and a few books and souvenirs. Bought some nice postcards there.

Such good service. Staff are so pleasant and helpfull. Cannot praise them enough. We hired a beach hut for a week. No problems whatsoever.

Absolutely hopeless.

You'd think a small town like this with pretty much nothing going on the staff would have the local area knowledge nailed.... You'd be wrong

We decided after a long walk in the driving rain we'd grab the bus back to Exmouth. Not being regular bus users we popped in to ask for some info

'I'm sorry' the first team member said 'I don't get the bus'. 'nor do I' added the second

Now as tourist information I'd expect them to know the information for things outside what they do. I'm pretty sure these guys haven't been jet skiing either but maybe people will pop in for info on that too?

You can book tickets for local events and reserve a beach if you are willing to pay for close to £100 per week with £10 cleaning charges. Could have more rental options for beach huts like 3 days rental, etc. Not very accommodating.
