Great experience from booking onwards, really helpful and friendly. Your booking email will give full details on where to park and how to then get to the start of your adventure.
Leo was our coach for the Norwegian axe throwing taking us through and letting us use the full variety of axes and knives available before refereeing our tournament. Really knowledgeable, friendly and great at putting everyone at their ease so everyone finished up with scores in all the categories.
We were a group of family with additional kids friends ranging ages 14 through to 20 and then the adults. Great fun for the afternoon and highly recommend this.
The kids only complaint was we didn't have time to go canoeing too and would want to do both next time!

We used WA for a 3 person, 3/4 day canoe trip today.
The morning was a little bit dramatic trying to find a working pay and display machine - however that’s nothing to do with WA and therefore doesn’t reflect in the review.

From the very start, our experience was positive. The staff answering emails were very positive and helpful. I quickly found out we could bring our dog! We chose the 3/4 day trip from Kerne Bridge as we’ve done a full day of kayaking before and it was fun, but we’d planned on doing other things in the afternoon and morning, so a later start was convenient. The staff on emails were very upfront with costs and timings.

Upon arrival, it was very quick to get signed in. The staff were all very polite and helpful. I got called “sir” which was a novelty ? we were signed in, kitted up and ready to go within about 15 minutes. Customers are offered waterproof barrels for clothes and valuables, which didn’t know this beforehand, so we’d packed a dry bag. It’s a thoughtful gesture for customers in my opinion.

We took a comfortable minibus ride to kerne bridge where everything was ready to go. We had to carry our canoe the ~50m to the shore. This is stated on the website and booking email. The canoe is a comfortable lift for two young adults. Our dog was obviously not much help in moving the canoe…

We were giving a 15 minute safety brief which was useful. My wife felt it would have been useful having more instruction on the technique of paddling, but that being said, we didn’t struggle when on the water. The canoe was easily big enough for 3 adults and a puppy.

Once on the water, the paddling is fairly relaxed and safe. There’s one section where another canoe capsized. Right by Lydbrook, but otherwise you’d be intending to end up in the water if you wanted to.

There’s plenty of stops along the way and lots of wildlife and landmarks to observe on the way.

We started on the water about 11:45. Had a 90 minute lunch at Lydbrook and still got to the end point at 15:30. So it’s a very easy and doable paddle, even if you make a few stops.

At the end of the trip, one of the WA staff helped us get the canoe up the bank and asked us for some feedback. We had a good chat and he was even kind enough to recommend a quiet spot to teach my puppy to swim.

The walk back to the car was about 10 minutes. Easy enough as long as you have some trainers. It might be a bit slippery in sandal or crocs.

We’ll definitely be coming back again, it was a positive experience from start to finish and our puppy is slowly getting her confidence on the water.

Dealt with Stuart and Mark and both were excellent. Stuart was very flexible and accommodating when our plans changed due to changing covid regulations. Mark was great getting us prepped for our holiday and going through all the safety/techniques. Would thoroughly recommend this company!

Had a great time doing the axe and knife throwing with a group of friends. The session was a good duration, and at a reasonable price too. The host, Stuart, was very knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended. ?

Cracking day out with the family even though it was busy the staff were still nice and helpful gave everyone a quick crash course on safety and how to use the boats. Information about what you would see down the river as well.
Only thing I would maybe suggest is more help when removing the boats from the water at the end as its steep and loose gravel with small kids it's not easy to pull the boat alone, however I'm sure if we'd asked they would have helped ?

Incredible activity. Guide was great and has a good balance of being with you while also giving you the ability to have your own moments. I cannot recommend things enough. I will be back again. Just word for warning, if your crazy enough to do it in -3 degrees bring more than two pairs of socks.
