Took a private tour with Sgurr Tours and it was fantastic. Communication was good when we were planning even with a six hour difference. Ryan was super easy to talk to and had his stops planned based on what we wanted to see. He was on time when he picked us up and had us back to our ships dock in plenty of time without shorting us on the tour. His van looked like it had just come off of the showroom floor equipped with water and snacks for us to enjoy. He even taught us a little bit of Irish! Highly recommend Ryan and his crew for a tour that you won’t soon forget. Thanks Ryan!

We did a private 12-hour tour from Inverness to the Isle of Skye with Ryan, and it was hands-down the highlight of our two-week trip through the UK. From the start, Ryan was incredibly communicative, organized, and easy to work with. He made everything smooth and stress-free, which allowed us to just enjoy the experience.

Ryan was not only knowledgeable about the land and the history of Scotland, but also genuinely fun to hang out with for the day. His sense of humor and storytelling made the drive fly by. He curated an amazing itinerary, including a stunning two-hour hike to the Old Man of Storr—without a doubt the most breathtaking part of our entire trip.

What made the tour extra special were all the thoughtful touches: a Scottish whiskey and gin tasting, local snacks to sample along the way, and professional photos he took of us throughout the day. As a photographer, I’m usually behind the camera, so it was such a treat to have beautiful photos of the two of us in some of the most scenic parts of the Highlands.

We left feeling like we barely scratched the surface and are already dreaming of coming back for a multi-day tour with Ryan to explore even more. If you're thinking of seeing the Highlands, stop scrolling and book with Ryan. You won't regret it.

We did a one-day tour from Inverness to Isle of Skye (and back) with Gavin. He was outstanding. Very friendly and informative. Lots of local knowledge and suggestions. The owner, Ryan, was very easy to communicate with. All-in-all, very professional and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for more.

We booked the Isle of Sky tour and enjoyed a super fun day in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. We found Segurr Tours to be a first class operation from top down. Ryan…a kind and funny man with infectious enthusiasm for what he does and his country was our guide. We went to incredible sights close to Inverness and on the Isle of Skye…including Eilean Donan Castle, Old Man of Storr, Quairaing and Kilt Rock among others. Ryan also went tried to book a lunch for us and when that place was closed until the next month… he offered other options for us to consider. We ended up having a nice meal at The View/Cuillin Hills Hotel overlooking Portee Harbor which was a highlight. Ryan was full of interesting history and facts and provided plenty of laughs. We will look forward to booking another adventure with Storr soon on our next visit to Scotland. Thanks for all you did to make it such a fun and memorable day.

The tours organised by Ryan Mackenzie-Raymond to celebrate my 87th birthday (organised by my daughter) were simply awesome. The major tours to Skye (extensive), Loch Ness- Invermoriston-Invergarry-Falls of Foyers-Dores Beach, Glen Finnan-Glencoe-Fort William were superb and we really enjoyed it. The tours were immaculately tailored to my age and ability and what was beautiful is that I waa able to see and enjoy most of the Highlands as a young person would do. The three tour guides, Malcolm Murray, Graeme MacDonald and Gavin Simm looked after me like a member of their family. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the tours were conducted meticulously. They embellished the tours with their detailed commentary including geology, history, legend, myth, humour, fun, camaraderie and culture, which enhanced our knowledge of the Highlands manifold. Sgurr tours and the delivery of tours by this elite group of guides and Ryan's attention to detail and promptness in responding to situations/emails/phone calls is simply outstanding. If you want to visit the Highlands, Sgurr tours will be the best and do it to the highest standards. Photos attached. Kamala

Our private Isle of Skye tour with Ryan was the absolute highlight of our visit to the Highlands!
From my very first inquiry Ryan was prompt to reply and helpful, and personalized our schedule to see everything we wanted on Skye. The 12 hour day was packed with gorgeous stops and local places to grab delicious food/drinks, and we never felt rushed. He took us to several viewpoints off the path that we never would have found ourselves, and through the day got amazing photos for us on his camera that we will cherish!
Ryan was super knowledgeable about the area and its history, and had an answer for every single one of our (many) questions. We had so much fun listening to his stories and learning a bit of Gaelic. Initially I was a bit nervous booking such a long day with a single guide, but he is so personable, we ended up enjoying absolutely every minute.
His Mercedes van was very comfortable for the entire tour and we felt perfectly safe on the narrow roads with him driving. Much better than the packed buses you see around Inverness!
I would highly recommend Ryan to anyone visiting Scotland - you will not regret it.

I highly recommend anyone traveling to the Highlands to book a tour with Sgurr! Ryan hosted our group of 6 for a private tour of the Isle of Skye leaving from Inverness. Everyone had a great time and it was a true highlight of our time in Scotland. Our group ranged in age from 9 to 67 and the tour was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Ryan’s van was very comfortable and he knew all the good spots to stop for great views. Having Ryan as a guide allowed us to make the most of our day in a way that wouldn’t have been possible venturing out on our own. He is also very knowledgeable on Scottish history and other facts which he kept us entertained with. Ryan has great energy and pride in his business, he kept up a very high level of service throughout the 12-hour day and you can tell he cares very much about his clients and their experience. It was also wonderful to be able to relax and enjoy all the great views while Ryan drove. Ryan was prompt with all pre-trip communication and coordination, making a seamless and stress free experience.
