We were eight people who enjoyed a three day custom tour of the Highlands with Go Highlands. We hiked magnificent highland areas, saw waterfalls, gorges, cruised Loch Ness, enjoyed a castle and beautiful gardens, and learned about the art of scotch making at Cardhu, including a tasting. George was a great guide. He told us all about Clan and Scottish history, connecting stories with the beautiful landscape we saw. We also enjoyed his great sense of humor. I highly recommend Go Highlands Tours.

We had the absolute best day with George! He went above and beyond. The day started out with rain, so George suggested we change our plan a bit to see Cawdor Castle (which gave us cover from the rain). It was very interesting to tour the historic castle and one that is currently lived in today. George took time to explain the vast Scottish history with a visit to Clava Cairns and Culloden Battlefield. George was extremely knowledgeable and his sense of humor added to the tour-he could really make us laugh.
We ended our trip going through country roads and seeing Cyldesdale horses and donkeys. This was the best and most informative tour we’ve been on in Scotland-not one to miss!

Awesome tour with Aleistar. What a great person to have give you a tour. He was polite, very personable, and overall gave a delightful experience. Of course, the places and the scenery that he took us were wonderful. However, I believe it was him that made the experience extra special.

My husband and I booked a small group tour with Go Highlands, and it was truly one of the highlights of our 10-day trip through Scotland. We spent an incredible day with our guide, George, exploring Clava Cairns, Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle, Loch Ness, and even enjoyed a tasting of local gin.

George brought the Highlands to life with his engaging storytelling and deep knowledge of the area's history and culture. His passion and insights added so much depth to every stop on the tour.

If you want more than just sightseeing—if you want to truly understand the history and heart of the Highlands—I can’t recommend Go Highlands enough. Whether you choose a small group or a private tour, you’ll walk away with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for this beautiful region.

We’ve have a few private tours this trip and George was absolutely fantastic!!! He’s incredibly knowledgeable, well travelled and full of personality. He did his best to answer all our crazy questions and did a pretty good job too. Our kids (10 & 11) were completely entertained by him and our incredible stops. We will 100% recommend him and Go Highlands to all our friends! And WHEN we come back, we will hands-down, be in touch with George again. Do yourself a favor and book with Go Highlands. You won’t regret it.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to go back to Scotland and we booked a tour with Go Highlands. Alastair was our guide and he was fantastic! Very nice and knowledgeable. Our group was very small since it was during the off season and he customized our tour to stop at a couple different unplanned locations, including a distillery! We enjoyed visiting Culloden Battlefield with him, as he has military experience. He also took us down a country road most people wouldn’t get to in order to see some highland cows. He changed lunch plans and took us to the sweet little town of Beauly where joined us for lunch in a little cafe (the seafood chowder he recommended was delicious!). We wanted to visit Leaky’s bookshop while in Inverness as well, and Alastair was kind enough to drop us off at the bookshop upon our return so we didn’t have to walk there and would have more time to enjoy the shop before they closed. You’re in good hands if you get him for a tour!
